Making art with someone isn’t “promoting” their life choices
having them as a feature on your album which gives them more exposure, pays them money and builds their reputation 100% is promoting them

I never said art should only be made by good people. I'm saying that promoting a rapist on your album is just as bad if not worse than promoting gambling. That has been my argument from the start and that has not changed despite you trying to take it off course multiple times.
Everybody realizing this is funny as f*** lmaoooo

It’s not promoting their life choices.
Should artists do a background check and interview of every single artist they choose to collaborate with?

Okay so what I'm hearing from you is that being a feature on a #1 artists album has 0 impact on your career as an artist.
If that isn't true, then yes featuring someone on your album promotes them, and by promoting them you are inherently validating the stuff they have done.
Also its not even like this kodak s*** happened in the past, it literally happened a year before the release of MM&BS so you can't even try to say like "oh well its in his past and hes learned and grown".

I’m saying that working with someone in your field is not promoting every single decision they ever made in their entire life. That’s a ridiculous assumption.
List your Top 25 albums ever and I GUARANTEE you I can find questionable people littered all throughout the credits for those albums.
iHype still talking to himself I’m crying
lmao, im fighting for my life out here and this dude just vibin posting with himself
hes liking my s*** tho so thanks for the support i guess?

I'm not saying an artist can't work with someone who has a sketchy past. You're right if I said that then I couldn't listen to probably any of the music I like (including Drake).
My point is that I don't believe putting an rapist on your album, which objectively, promotes them, is better than promoting gambling.
Again, that was my argument at the start, and that hasn't changed throughout this convo despite the many attempts to strawman the argument.

But my point wasn’t about the crime itself, I already said if the roles were reversed I’d feel the same way.
I’m not saying gambling is worse than rape, I’m saying a collab with a controversial musician is more understandable than a collab with a controversial streamer.
If Drake worked with a musician who ran a gambling business, I wouldn’t care.
If Kendrick did a stream with alleged rapist Akademiks, I would call that out

I don’t follow Kodak much is he actually a convicted rapist?

You already flopped, let’s wrap it up

Fair if thats how you feel. I didn't read that from your post, I read more of a "working with kodak is less bad than drake promoting gambling".
I still don't necessarily agree. I think regardless of the context we should stand up and draw the line somewhere (maybe at gambling & rape idk), but not supporting someone who raped a 16 year old is a pretty easy line for me to draw.

You’ve been talking to yourself for three pages and getting clowned by everyone

He pleaded down to a lesser charge but it’s widely believed he did it

That’s fair, everyone has their own personal line

so do we both just jump on ihype now that we're settled?
btw @G5T8L2X9Q7M4P6K1 I'll accept an apology for this and your constant claim that I was spinning drake & adin as a positive whenever you're ready.

I’m f***ing with that
