I think it’s mostly because it was marketed poorly and also the fact that producer albums are usually only as big as the features on them, most of the features on this tape are older Atlanta artists who haven’t been relevant in years

S*** is hilarious. They're in here writing paragraphs about what Drake fans must think the album has to do to be a success and where his songs are peaking on the charts. You'd think they'd focus that energy on whatever the hell Kendrick got going on but here we are.

Most of Drake's fanbase won't move on any new music of his till he drops a full project anyways so he's fine with these loosies after each new Iceman episode. Fans who wanna check out the songs can do that and those who wanna wait for the full album to drop to really tap in can do that as well. Everybody wins. This is like another 100 Gigs drop to me, just more spaced out.

actually i'll cut that metro tape some slack, i thought it was denser with more future, 21, and baby type features but they're only on a few songs.

95% of the songs have ATL rappers that haven’t even sold 5k in 20 years. And had nothing even close to do with the beef or Drake.

They did a great job on the album and it’s a personal 9/10 for me but it’s basically an ATL tribute legacy album with bling era production on it. I was hoping it would do better because I would love to see a return of that sound but I’m also not surprised it didn’t connect with people who didn’t grow up with that sound.
