I agree. I've definitely gone back to $$$4U a lot more than I would have if we had a stronger year of new releases. It's already his best collab album to me. Washes Her Loss and WATTBA easily.

Wtf are you talking about, this year has been extremely high quality Literally all I could reasonably ask for at this point are new Solange and Frank Ocean projects

Wow! Drake has so many classic albums that it’s hard to keep track

    https://twitter.com/drakechart/status/1961130443665019073

Drake and Taylor Swift have the most classics of any of their peers.

It's undeniable. Just check the scoreboard.....

Well they are two of the most impactful and influential artists of this generation, especially Drake. Your denial of it doesn’t matter much

    Bro. It's not "denial."

It's just not believing that every album that sells or charts well is automatically a classic or influential lol.

Morgan Wallen gonna be joining these lists too if he drops more music.

  • Aug 30, 2025

Just came back from Bad Bunny concert. I’ve been to 100+ concerts and this the first time I’ve seen no one leaving u til the last song is finished.

He put on traditional boriqua artists and gave them platform during this show. He really the f***ing biggest

Morgan Wallen stands at the top of the country music wave that’s going on right now. His run is not happening in a vacuum. Whether we like it or not, that’s what people are listening to. I personally don’t care for it but I still tip my hat at what he’s accomplishing

Where was this energy when GKMC and DAMN. were ahead of For All the Dogs this time last year? It’s literally the same scenario

LA WE GOT WORK TO DO! FADER TALKING ABOUT FATD AGAIN INSTEAD OF GNX!! LA!!!

Btw not the same scenario bc Mr Morale which was Kendricks latest work wasn’t sniffing FATD. $$$4U is literally multiple spots ahead of it. And its an rnb collab project with PND 😭.

    August 2024:

    • Drake’s most recent album is For All the Dogs, released in October 2023.
    • At this time, both GKMC (2012) and DAMN. (2017) were charting ahead of For All The Dogs.
    • Kendrick’s newest album at this time had released a year and a half before Drake’s most recent album (May 2022 vs October 2023)

    August 2025:

    • Kendrick’s most recent album GNX released in November 2024.
    • At this time, both $$4U (2025) and Take Care (2011) are charting ahead of it.
    • Drake’s most recent album released 3 months after Kendrick’s most recent album (February 2025 vs November 2024)

It’s the same thing in both scenarios. Last year’s looks worse for Drake because Kendrick’s newest album at that point was two years old

I think you're missing the whole point.

I never implied Drake, Taylor, and Morgan weren't popular or dominating the charts.

On the contrary, I said that having a bunch of albums sell or chart well doesn't automatically make them classics or influential.

If we going off numbers, then My Turn is the greatest rap album of the 2020's, Tortured Poets is the greatest pop album of the 2020's, and Dangerous:The Double Album is Album Of The Decade. See what I mean?

    Numbers =/= quality.

Right now, Morgan Wallen has been very influential in the comeback of country music dominating the charts. That’s what people are listening to. You not considering it to be good doesn’t change their impact and influence. You don’t have to like it, but stop denying reality. If you dont care what music people are actually consuming, you shouldn’t be in the Billboard thread. Now if people are still listening to them 3-5 years from now in mass, his albums could be considered classics. Classic doesn’t mean “ktt and online critics like this album”
