Blue ManRight now, Morgan Wallen has been very influential in the comeback of country music dominating the charts. That’s what people are listening to. You not considering it to be good doesn’t change their impact and influence. You don’t have to like it, but stop denying reality. If you dont care what music people are actually consuming, you shouldn’t be in the Billboard thread. Now if people are still listening to them 3-5 years from now in mass, his albums could be considered classics. Classic doesn’t mean “ktt and online critics like this album”

While sales might not be a direct reflection of quality, it is definitely a direct reflection of interest and you could relate sustained interest in something to a perceived quality of that thing, at the very least, in the people consuming it, even if you're not one of them.
Do I think Morgan Wallen is the best country singer out right now? Hell no. But he makes pretty decent country music and most importantly, there's a lot of sustained interest in his music because he'll have at least 3 Diamond albums by the end of the decade. Those are facts, regardless of how you feel about him or his music.

Yeah, people don't have to like him or his music but you can't deny his impact on the resurgence of country music commercially, neither can you deny his success. He's ending this decade as either the #1 or at worst #3 best-selling artist.
If he drops 2 more albums before the decade is over, I see him beating out Taylor Swift for the 2020s Artist of the Decade honor.
