This should show you how little single performance means now

3 songs in the top 5 this year

His album thats only 9 months old is selling less than 20k a week. America has moved on from singles. One Thing At a Time will outstream GNX by the end of this year. there's 1 song from that album on that top 50. at 44th. lol

For the second time, it’s not a list of singles.

GNX has been streamed overall a total of 1.9B times in the US this year. One Thing At A Time has been streamed 1.7B times. This further proves my point that it’s the bloated tracklists for Morgan Wallen albums that are falsely boosting his numbers making them look more dominant than they actually are. GNX is outstreaming it with 24 less songs

Morgan Wallen's performance on your "top 50 songs" completely proves you wrong, his 2025 has been 5x- bigger than Kendrick's yet Kendrick has 3 songs above his on the list

How have his 2025 songs been 3x bigger than Kendrick’s if Kendrick’s songs are literally receiving more streams individually? Morgan just has more songs.

Y’all have said ALL year that Kendrick’s songs were getting fraudulently boosted by radio, and now that a list is out showing you that that’s 100% false and he HAS been outstreaming everyone this year, the goalpost moves yet again

1.57B Spotify streams per month this year and only one song in the Top 50 Streamed of the US this year. If that was Kendrick, y’all would call it suspicious

Didnt YOU say it was Drakes back catalog 😭

Yes, I did. I said that literally on the previous page.

I’m saying Y’ALL keep saying it isn’t, but if Kendrick had that many streams with only 1 song in the Top 50 of the year you would say it was some nefarious reason

The Super Bowl was still used to promote GNX as he mostly performed songs from it.

I promise you that stadium tour would’ve been downsized or straight up cancelled if GNX flopped for whatever reason.

Chart position on its own is not the data point than you think it is. Also, you the same person that called TTPD a massive flop, and that album was #1 eight months after it released, you shift the goalpost every day depending on your argument

There is no world in which DAMN. was more successful than GNX, you sound crazy

You mean TTPD when she released new physicals? then plummeted like a rock the next week?

Ah yes, DAMN, the album with far superior chart performance was less successful than an album that is freefalling makes sense

You move the goalposts every time it’s convenient for you. Timeless had a “superior chart performance” over NOKIA, yet you’re in here calling NOKIA the hit and Timeless the flop.

GNX is not “freefalling”, it came out almost a year ago and the industry is at an HISTORIC low this year when it comes to new releases

yes its a list of individual songs

that's my whole point. individual songs mean f*** all for artists now. it's all about albums as a collective. 12 songs or 40. That's what pushes artists forward, not hot individual songs. SOS and Morgan have completely proven this

Morgan has 7billion streams between his albums YTD
Kendrick has 3.3b, even though he has 3 songs in the top 5 most streamed songs of the year

Again this once again proves people care about ALBUMS now. Not individual songs. Individual songs do not move the needle for artists like they used to.

Morgan is the biggest streaming artist of all time with barely any huge hits in his discog

Yes because people care far less about the "promoted singles" than ever before, that's my whole point. it's why a "top streamed songs of the year" is now useless. album cuts now reign supreme

but simply adding more tracks doesn't work unless the album is actually good. taylor + weeknd both just failed at it

This thread agreed a long time ago that longevity is a very important factor.

In any other industry, if you go from the absolute top of the game to being average (in the superstar world) just a year later, you're flopping.

Imagine if 2015 Ronaldo/Messi went from 50 goals a year, to 20 next year. That's what TTPD has done

My brother in Christ.....Tortured Poets is literally top 10 on Billboard right now lmao.

    billboard.com/charts/billboard-200

And that's what? 16 months after it dropped?

Name me these other albums that still remained in the top 10 on Billboard 16 months after they dropped.

Nigga probably heard about TTPD being a "flop" from some gays on Twitter who hate Taylor and ran with it.

Because she just got engaged lmao

it was literally 18th last week. the album that sold 2-3x more units than everything else in 2024 was 18th last week. How is that not bad?

2 weeks ago it was damn 27th lmaooo

Bro is moving the goalpost now.

A "flop" album doesn't get back in the top 10 after more than a year because of an engagement.

That means people were already f***ing with the album and chose to revisit it.

TTPD may be mid but it's objectively not a flop by any metric whatsoever.

They chose to revisit the album because Taylor started getting talked about in mass again lol. Like I've been saying, that's how all popular music works now. People only listen to s*** everyones talking about

Hence why Taylor's numbers are down like 80% vs 2022

It's the largest streaming drop off % wise of all time man. Drake/weeknd/trav would be cooked for that

Dog… those 7B Morgan streams are from a combined 106 songs. The 3.3B Kendrick streams are from a combined 44 songs.

    Average per song:

    Morgan - 66M

    Kendrick - 72M

Album cuts don’t reign supreme though because the Top 50 streamed songs of the year are all singles or the most popular songs on albums
