Normal, Deluxe, alternate art or special edition .
3-4 seems to be reasonable.
Well, then Drake has tried it. His last had at least 8 versions.
Billboard should a set a limit tho
How many versions is too much
Like YoungBoy said 3-4 seems reasonable to me as well
Imagine having the apparent biggest first week for an album of all time and you not even in the top 3 most streamed lol. This will free fall my goodness. Hope she has another 50 variants ready. She’s probably about to announce the wedding invite variant this week. 😭
wedding invite variant
From what I've seen, it's common now for major artists to have 30 versions of an album ready. It's not just Taylor.

She’s been training her fans to have a collect them all mindset since at least folklore
I wasn't talking about selling 4 mill. Neither have a fanbase big enough for that. Its about a fanbase that would buy a lot of variants. For example if Carti released different variants with leaks from WLRv2 etc. for his next album, his fanbase would absolutely eat all these variants up.
Its about how you as an artist shape your fanbase. Drake's fanbase is very casual. They don't buy vinyls and other merch. Carti and Travis have cultivated a very dedicated fanbase that really wants to get everything they release. Thats the difference.
Oh yea i think female rap fans would but for males yea just Travis and maybe Carti (we still havent seen proof they buy though tbh)

of course YOU and the guys you surround yourself with weren't. Doesn't mean anything. Damn, you're so bad at arguing btw
You’re in Germany trying to tell Americans what they heard around them based off of manufactured data and numbers

What album?
No they weren’t lol
grown men listening to taylor swift need to be shunned by society more
People may not have been aware of all versions, because even with the 2+ months of pre-order, all those versions combined amounted to less than 10,000 sales the week they shipped

Ive seen people quoting this “I’m the problem it’s me” lyric on social media but i can count on one hand the amount of times i heard the song.
Heard cruel summer once in an uber ride and had to Shazam it.
She’s lowkey a mysterious artist on some DJ Khaled s***. She’s supposedly everywhere but you never hear it outside unironically
his art direction is so good he just need to match the swag
Ngl I f*** with the look but it’s the wrong album to do it for
Her Loss or Fatd version would be insano
Sure she does too much with how many variants she makes available but the point can’t be avoided: her fans want to buy them. Cause at the end of the day, Taylor is checking off the three most fundamental boxes of albums that people actually want to listen to:
These other motherfuckers have
For a medium that most people are already apathetic to, these two factors are make or break when it comes down to sales and having a fanbase that actually WANTS to buy albums. All this market research boardroom ass talk about album sales misses the fact that it takes something more merit based to connect. I know that’s too romantic for you numbers geniuses but y’all don’t seem to understand the mindset of wanting to listen to an album vs not wanting to
We’re here today with these crazy debut sales because of Fearless btw. That was the straw; that was when it was common sense that this woman’s albums are worth paying for. She has only kept things fairly consistent since then

No way you’re comparing different colored vinyl to literal variants that had different covers
No they weren’t lol
people with taste. i think they're both (almost) Diamond certified
of course YOU and the guys you surround yourself with weren't. Doesn't mean anything. Damn, you're so bad at arguing btw
And the bubble of whiteness you surround yourself with doesn’t speak for the rest of the world either
I’m heavy into music like everyone else on here and I still have no idea what Anti-Hero sounds like despite it having released three years ago
