You're only fixated on Kendrick having the better album. Okay, fine. He has the better album. So? People aren't going back to it despite that. It'll tumble down the charts despite that so what's the use? The music those artists made, whether I think it's the best thing out there or not doesn't matter because I can actually engage with their music for months in my life. I'm not doing that with the new Kendrick album. Why should I give a f*** about an album that's not doing s*** for me?

113K and a #1 hit. Can't be that bad. Heard some of the songs and they are solid. Dunno about the rest of the album but his first album was solid and from what I've read his newest is almost like that one.

Can't say since I haven't heard it in full but I think people went into the album expecting something different than they should. He has always just been dropping chill tracks to vibe to, I dunno why people expected a rap masterclass from him. They got it confused due to the good pr-run he had

Also sales doesn’t automatically mean the music is the greatest thing ever created, it just means more people are f***ing with your music (there are exceptions of course)
Whether you think those people have s*** tastes than that’s on you but I don’t give a f*** about that, if I enjoy the music and other people don’t then I don’t think my music tastes are better, we just have different tastes in music. It’s not a flop though. It’s the highest selling hip hop album first week so far this year. If he’s flopping, everybody below him flopping too.
