Maybe this is a dumb metric but Post has one of the worst covers I’ve seen in recent memory and I subconsciously assumed the record was kinda trash because the cover is low effort

I wonder how much that plays into streams lol maybe not much but Future on the other hand had a very iconic and meme-ready cover and did way better. That’s how I even knew Future had a record coming out, by seeing covers and memes about it leading up to release

If CLB dropped June 2022 instead of Sept 2021 I see no reason it wouldn't do similar/same numbers it did. It's only been 6 months and there haven't been any huge rule changes (the 1 purchase per credit card rule but Drake doesn't do much in physical digitals anyway). The album was highly anticipated and 6 months would just add to that anticipation
