BrickellBaysideIt’s never just one singular answer but I agree with you. Surprise drops, giving a week’s notice has run its course. Bring back traditional roll outs with singles and put your artists out in front of people for magazines, interviews etc
I’m simply saying what sticks out to me is that in 2010 the big time ‘new’ acts were like Drake, Cudi, Cole, Sean, wale, wiz, guys who’s image could easily translate and easily digestible commercially
In 2022, the new hot acts are lil baby, lil durk, est gee, etc. and there’s a direct correlation there.
I also point out that like, this really isn’t just a hip hop thing. All forms of entertainment are suffering post March of 2020
Lol most people really need new music pushed down their throats in order to care about it and that’s crazy to me
