It’s been this way since CDs and videos. The only reason huge singles directly benefitted the sales of albums was because you HAD to buy the albums in order to listen to the singles you heard on the radio/TV. There’s some exceptions but that’s it

And besides, Running Up That Hill is getting streams from a new generation of listeners that have no reason to go listen to Hounds of Love, they simply like the song

Because the song was not initially released as a single, listeners had to purchase the album, which as a result, went on to sell more than 18 million copies,7 gaining multi-platinum certifications from the RIAA, as well as in other countries.

Bad Bunny is literally having the biggest album of the year right now with no crossover hits.

Morgan Wallen has the biggest album of the decade with no crossover hits.

    Tf is your logic

It's not like there was THOUSANDS of albums selling millions with no mega hits even before streaming.

That has always been rare. Just admit you were wrong -- there is plenty of artists who can still do well with albums without big hits.

The first single was dope, I don't understand how it's not at the top of the charts. Top 5 at least (Bad Bunny)

Post dropped mid singles, like 4 or 5 of them.

That's why they didn't work. Something a little bit better could have stayed around.
