300K for a surprise album with this vibe and with 14 songs and only 1 feature is good, especially when it's only been 9 months since his last album which btw is still selling extremely well.
But it's still a 50% drop which doesn't look good on paper. I know people will talk down on it if that's the number
Yeah but the reaction here will be very funny if he doesn’t imo
I know. I think both albums are boring though. What a year for rap lol it's sad.
He better come back later in the year with a rap album.
Not happening tbh
We getting an EP though

Not enough. He needs to recover from the last 3, and I like some stuff from CLB and DLDT but it is what it is.
Anyone else worried about the first week numbers?
Why? Drake has already proved his commercial standing with his fanbase with CLB. This album is an outlier. It's a dance album, something he's never done before. He made it knowing much of his fanbase wouldn't care for it. If it was a rap project, I'd say 300k was the least to be expected but this even pulling 200k+ is a win, if only for how different of a project it is for an artist like Drake and the fact that he dropped it with like a 6-hour notice.

Obviously. I don't get why he dropped this.
Drake will always do what he wants to do but I can see his new deal giving him a lot of creative freedom to just do whatever because his money is assured and he doesn't really have to worry about how his albums/singles perform in relation to expectations from his label. I can see more experimental projects like this in the future. He'll probably drop a rap project and then dip to make something left-field and continue like that for the foreseeable future. I'd be down for that.
If a smaller artist puts out a flop, you have to worry about the label interfering and refusing to let them release music. That will never be a problem for Drake so stressing over his numbers is pointless
Especially with his new deal in place. He's got a s*** ton of guaranteed money regardless of performance.

because he wanted to lmao how is that hard for some of y'all to understand
Papi's Angels down bad
You sound stupid.
Then I’m closer to getting on you guys level. Ready for Saturday.

This isn't even Summer music like that lol. He basically gave Summer back to Bad Bunny.
And why did they both (Kendrick and Drake) decide to drop their Revival all of a sudden?

I guess that's a good point, but I'm also glad he's not dropping based on what will get him the most spins. Maybe he just feels like this album reflects where he's at rn in his personal life

Recover from what?
Dudes been running the game since he debtuted.
Only people who need to recover are his doubters
I hate to break it to my fellow Papi Angles but we're gonna have to take this L with grace if it goes down. We didn't give Kendrick or Weeknd excuses for flopping we can't give Drake any either. 2022 is the year of the flops and in an unexpected turn of events even our boy may get caught in the crossfire.
