I guess that's a good point, but I'm also glad he's not dropping based on what will get him the most spins. Maybe he just feels like this album reflects where he's at rn in his personal life
I just hear him go autopilot but less rapping. Like More Life but without passion.
I just hope the next one will be CLB or better. Also hope it will drop soon.

Recover from what?
Dudes been running the game since he debtuted.
Only people who need to recover are his doubters
That's true, but the last 3 have been meh. I would add Scorpion (CD2)
All of them have songs I love except the new one though. And he has also been killing collabs lately, but that's why I expected something way better than this.
I hate to break it to my fellow Papi Angles but we're gonna have to take this L with grace if it goes down. We didn't give Kendrick or Weeknd excuses for flopping we can't give Drake any either. 2022 is the year of the flops and in an unexpected turn of events even our boy may get caught in the crossfire.
This. But I think Dawn FM deserved better. It's a good album with a few mid songs. AOTY so far imo.

Not even fair
Not enough. He needs to recover from the last 3, and I like some stuff from CLB and DLDT but it is what it is.
CLB is gas all the way thru
CLB is gas all the way thru
Nah, CLB is too long and a bit autopilot, but it has some great stuff like Cudi collab. It's way better than the new one.
cope
Who's coping? I love the album and it's gonna sell poorly, that's a win win
Falling Back video hasn’t even hit 1 million views yet in 8 hours.
Bad Bunny - Moscow Mule did 1 mil in like 10 minutes. Not saying YouTube means anything but I thought this was interesting..

Isn't it like 10 minutes long? Not that surprising plus Drake isn't exactly strong on YouTube. Think he just wanted to make a video for a song off the album he could drop when the album came out and he chose that one. Still unclear if it'll get pushed as a single or if he'll go with another song.
300K for a surprise album with this vibe and with 14 songs and only 1 feature is good, especially when it's only been 9 months since his last album which btw is still selling extremely well.
But it's still a 50% drop which doesn't look good on paper. I know people will talk down on it if that's the number
If 300k for the album Kenny dropped was an L to you then this is an L for Drake. Lol

It’s 4 minutes. I remember there were like 800k people waiting in chat for the debut. Falling Back kinda dropped out of nowhere it seems.

I'm talking about Falling Back being 10 minutes long lol. Bad Bunny is the king of YouTube/Spotify. Him dominating both those platforms shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone at this point.
I liked the Drake album when I heard it last night so I’ll be disappointed if this underperforms tbh.

Don't think it's comparable since Drake dropped an album 9 months ago that's still selling superbly while Kendrick's was his big comeback album after 5 years.
I think 300K is good for this album but it's not something I would call a big W.
Anyone else worried about the first week numbers?
Yea I’m shaking right now of that thought!

In a few weeks Drake will have two albums outselling Mid Morale weekly.

Sound like cope tbh

Stop making excuses. This is his 7th studio album.
Not a playlist or a mixtape
At least wait until Saturday to start coping.
