Kenny just showed Drake who’s on top. That’s what happened.
Man, shut your b**** ass up. He appeared after 5 years and this album is about to be mad forgettable. He's a HOF rapper and a generational talent but he's NEVER been top dog in this s***.
😳
Love how some of y’all say you don’t care about numbers but still show up to argue about it
They're great numbers. Who said they weren't?
The people calling it a flop around us greatdevine
You can listen to a 35 minute album twice in the time it would take you to listen to a 70 minute album once...
Song length has way more impact than how many songs there are
Disagree
I think it does have an impact but I think the majority of consumers don’t even put on album on replay
Long term song length has a big impact but I think short term number of tracks is more of a facotr
LA we got work to do
Play father time and figure out while you worship drake like he is your father lol
Honestly might be drakes most impressive numbers of his career
Views 1M tho
but yea 613K in streaming era was harder especially since he did zero promo
Love how some of y’all say you don’t care about numbers but still show up to argue about it
You really thinking about s*** from 5 years ago
This makes me wonder how much Frank will do first week after long hiatus
frank ocean will drop something good
613K.
This is so embarrassing for Kendrick
They can’t even make the length argument because big floppers is 3 hours long
Just so we're clear, from the first page of this thread, I was trying to correct the people who were saying this album was going to do > 500k because I knew the current music climate and where Kendrick stood in that. My projections have been in the 300-400k range for weeks now lol.

Cope my boy

Lets look at CLB as an example.
Drake had physicals for order first week that were scheduled to ship sometime in October. Then he cancelled the physicals all together a few weeks later. They never counted for sales as they never shipped.
Say those sales counted towards his first week, then he cancelled the shipments few weeks later. His first week would be bloated with sales that never happened
I understand this, but then what do they do for refunds?
Let’s say someone buys a physical copy of a CD in a store or on Amazon, and they don’t like it, return it and get a refund. Those sales still count towards the album even though they ended up returning their purchase, it’s not like Billboard retroactively revokes refunded album sales.
It’s very rare that an entire vinyl/CD production for an album will get completely canceled, it’s usually just been delays lately because Covid has slowed up production

@thegreatdivine an example of someone calling these numbers a flop
Honestly might be drakes most impressive numbers of his career
I even said too before that I think clb numbers more impressive then scorpion numbers also because clb didn’t have a hit besides laugh now cry later but that didn’t make the album
