Is Drake’s songwriting not a musical Element?

Kanye hears Drake’s songs and wants that writing in his, so he calls him up more than once to write and structure for him

You can pretend like that’s not influence if you want but we all see through your hurt

Artists like who ? Kendrick has no off springs or relevant artists that mimic his formula

Name 1 wave or trend Kendrick has popularized ? Imo he’s literally another lyricist using sounds, styles & formulas that were prevenlent in the music industry

Drake isn't a major influence on Ye's artistry and we all know it

Kanye felt the need to make a full fledged collaboration with Jay Z just to rival Drake’s success with Take Care

Like I said, he hasnt influenced popular artists, but the industry isnt made of only popular artists. Acts like jid, saba, Joey, paak, rhapsody, baby keem are some of the rappers directly influenced by kendrick, and some of this are artists with a solid fanbase. Of course he aint influencing acts like Lil baby, gunna and lil nas x, he doesn't make that type of music that can easily be replicated. Like I also said earlier, his influence will be even more notable in the 2020s

If drake really influenced fsmh and 30 hours, he wouldn't have released the mid that views was. Also, I've never listened to a song that's anything like 30 hours or fsmh in drake's discography

I’m sure he did influence them but yet again those artists follow formulas that have been prevelent in rap

Excluding Baby Keem most of the artists you mention would still be on the same trajectory if Kendrick didn’t exist

Drake has cited Ye as one of his biggest influencers yes but he’d still be here if Ye never created 808s

Brand New leaked in 2007, Drake’s vulnerable, R&B formula was already in effect before 808s was even thought of

Kanye deserved some credit but if we’re being real it’s mostly R&B artists like Aaliyah we should be crediting for the OVO sound

Idk if you’re African American or grew up with old school R&B lol
