These niggas need to stop tryna force Kendrick influence. He is and always will be Top 20, maybe Top 10 once his influence is shown in the 2020s

Yeah Kendrick will definitely end up top 25

Overall this was a solid thread. Kendricks influence was proven and some Drake stans got smacked around in a Kanye debate as an added bonus

This is getting weird and personal

I never stated Ye didn’t influence Drake, but he isn’t the sole influencer nor did birth Drake or 40’s sound

A sound that has pre existing ties to R&B, I guess Kanye birthed R&B.

Brand New was one of many R&B Drake songs that leaked on the internet before Kanye created 808s

People tend to credit the concept of Singing, melodies & rap to 808s era Kanye when Drake + Cudi had songs/demos of their current styles back in the mid 2000s

I don’t want to argue with anyone but it’s facts, there’s a literal time documentation on the internet in which these artists such as Drake began formulating their current styles

But I’ll leave the trolling to the ignorant

Only thing I'll say though is that literally everyone that has worked with Kanye in his career influenced him somehow. That's how he works. John Legend, No ID, Clipse, Timbaland, Daft Punk, Nick Minaj, Justin Vernon, Frank Ocean, you name it, they all had influence on Kanye's album throughout his whole career

None of that negates the fact that Kanye hears Drakes stuff and want his stuff to sound like that

And if you say that goes for everyone, then Kanye is a glorified DJ Khaled by all means who happens to make cool shoes

Kendrick will end his career as the goat.

Goat to middle class Americans that are privileged enough to waste money on taking that one class they got for one of Kendrick’s albums in that university

Kendrick is a goat, not THE goat. That’s Wayne

Can you read ? It literally says Ye isn’t the “ sole influencer “. Sole meaning single

Drake’s creation cannot be attributed to Kanye alone

Maybe if you weren’t so ignorant you’d see the point but you’re too busy trying to force Kanye’s greatness on everyone, spam smileys and ruin a great discussion

Again, you must see how ironic this is. A good % of songs from Drake's albums come from demos made by other artists and you know it.

Find me a percentage over 50 on any Drake album

    Hell, even 30, 25

But “good” indicates more than half
And “demo” insinuates it was an almost completed song, not just sparse vocals
