I don't think either of them should be called low IQ but it especially doesn't make sense to say that about hiphop where the focal point is the words, amongst the beat of course

Music hits us in our feels as well as serves some sort of spiritual need for better or worse and i think most all genres do that the point is not to put one down or the other because in any case it can be a helper and uplifter

That being said due to the fact that hiphop has that power it is possible to absorb some of that negative energy from some of the more aggressive s*** and it could be a negative for you, same with like rock though, s*** can end up glorifying bad s*** and then the labels know that product sells bc it feeds into that part of us so they push it

But a lot of times the aggression is actually soothing. It's like (this music is more powerful than the stresses of the outside world.)

As a huge Drake fan I completely agree and your examples were beautiful

Crown is one of my faves off the album but this version might be even better. I can see why he stripped it down as it is a bit messy in the middle. Maybe went a little too minimalistic in the final.
