What’s risky about making what is essentially GKMC 2? Mr Morale is like the good kid grew up and made another album 10 years later.
I don’t see what’s so risky about Mr. Morale it’s essentially kendricks “recovery” or “dark beautiful twisted fantasy”. He made an album that was supposed to be well received by the majority and I’d argue he has succeeded but not nearly as well as those other two albums succeeded in winning over the people after “falling off”
You really gotta clean out your ears if you think Mr Morale is GKMC 2 lol

TPAB actually sounds like it has a lot of soul to it
Mr Morale production just felt lifeless to me and i absolutely hate this new Baby Keem esque direction in terms of flow and voice inflections

niggas s*** on it when it came out i remember. then all of sudden niggas woke up one day callin it the greatest album ever. i liked it when it came out but it aged like s*** to me and is easily his worst album

What about it aged poorly? How does jazz from the greatest jazz musicians of this generation age like s***? Or that subject matter?
Stuff like this genuinely confuses me. I understand saying you don’t like it but to say it aged like s*** and it being jazz/funk/Neo soul that’s been around for decades is insane and honestly mind numbing.
