ValentineI think he uses a custom Neumann TLM 103 mic nowadays. Before that he was using a Nuemann U67
Based on the oklama picture it looks like they use two of them (one hanging upside down and one standing up straight). Also looks like a new recording technique for him
So that’s probably where you’re hearing that “muffle” cause doing this affects the tone/color of one’s voice cause of how the microphones are placed. If he placed one facing his chest, he’d sound way louder/powerful. Kinda interesting they used two of the same mic to do this, using the two different mics I named would create a better sound but artists choice
