This. When it comes to Kendrick, I've always felt his album rankings reflect more the fans' relationship with a project and the point in time they are at in their life.
The only modern high-profile rapper I can think of with a similar discography is Kanye's run with College Dropout to MBTDF. Groups that had this type of run were Outkast before Idlewild and ATCQ.

Glad it's not just me. Don't know if it's the sound or lack of a concept/narrative but I just don't have any desire to come back to this album
I got MM down there too, only difference between our rankings is I have GKMC higher

Might be reaching but I felt like Kendrick took a shot at Lupe too on waccced out murals when Kendrick brought up f*** a double entendre, I want yall to feel this s*** and old ass flows/ being outdated. I thought of Lupe too since he been hating hard lately. Kendrick ignores him but that felt like a shot for him too.

Dec 17, 2024I was reminded that his film is coming out in July. Tour ends in June. We’ve had rumors of two albums since February, conceptual and a straight rap album. We got GNX, so what if the concept album is a soundtrack?
Btw the concept album is supposed to sound like “I Feel Something”, the full song is finished and just sitting somewhere
