Expectation and obligation are two very different things, just speaking generally zooming out from Kendrick. Expectation is a perception. Obligation is a responsibility.
I can see an expectation where a sincere person, maybe even naively, thinks Kendrick is a revolutionist. I personally don’t but I get how a fan or listener can arrive at that expectation.
The other aspect is if he’s capable of it? Of course he is, if he really values to do so. Anyone is really; to whatever capacity is afforded to them. So I just push back on the idea of “just a rapper”. There are people who are “just doctors” or “just teachers” or “just well meaning people” who make the decision to support Palestinian liberation in their fields every day. And that does matter. It does make a difference. Cumulatively.
I dont think any sincere person thinsk Kendrick is a revolutinoary. Because if they are sincere they know that isnt true
I do think it makes a difference to take a stand but I do also recognize Kendrick works directly with zionist again by choice.

I am stuck in this weird place where I am educated but also stuck on the grimy floor of the working class due to mistakes i made in my 20s and then my back f***ed up in my late 30s so I struggle just holding a job and def do not have time to fully try to unionize my workplace and organize disgruntled folks
