Lines like this fall on its head when you look at artists who's thoughts they employ are an exact extension of the crimes that they do (e.g. R Kelly, Trey Songz, etc.)
I'm sayin this as an artist, I don't like this sentiment that's becoming a thing that makes us immune to critique or correction. Like the work that we do makes it so that people aren't allowed to feel how they feel about the person that creates the art.
For someone that says we just mortal men, songs like this just push the narrative that the artist can do no wrong/god complex (which is already a thing you gotta deal with just being a musician dealing with other musicians that's annoying. as. f***.)
