After a few listens i really like the direction he’s going. The actual song grew on me a lot and as a technical showcase for him flowing on different beats it’s good.
The color grading and the way this video is shot reminds me of grand Budapest hotel
While Hov gets rich off the culture, Ye pushes the culture forward. Meanwhile, Drake celebrates the fun parts of culture, Cole describes the mindset of the culture and K Dot critiques the culture.
Wait until you hear the opening track of the album…

The way he was flowing and with the hand movements was A1. It’s like a painting came to life
Apparently he was in Argentina when Nip got shot
there was some pics of him too there during that era
very very good. glad its not a banger or a single. just setting the mood for yet another masterpiece.
a bum I meant
Balls ack
there was some pics of him too there during that era
He was performing at a festival in Argentina The Day it happened
it’s not the type of kendrick i like but there’s no denying the talent
Same. It’s really a case study on how to rap well. However, it doesn’t have much replay value.

yup i don’t see myself listening to this more than a few times

amazing movie
This got crazy replayability for me. The hook coming in that smooth isn’t getting old
Is it though, UU is basically throwaways right?
Bruh throwaway quality implies this s*** ain’t up to standards or below average
UU obviously wasn’t throwaway quality, it was songs that didn’t fit the album whether that be conceptually, sonically or whatever but we would’ve never seen that project if Kendrick himself thought the quality was below average
They’re not the same. UU sounds like a real Jazz session where they’re cooking up the whole album in a day.
TPAB is beating you over the head with a letter/poem he ends up explaining in the end anyway.
Just listen to the two back to back and you’ll see. The inspiration may have came from the same place but the execution on one seems more human, calculated and machine-like on the other.
Great way to differentiate the two

I’m not saying as in low quality. Sometimes loosies or throwaways are better than what’s on the actual album.
