The Heart 3>4>2>1>5
Marvin Gaye sample could've been flipped better. Kendrick flow on that first verse was all over the place, wasn't smooth at all.
dehh and fantano reviewed it, all called it the best song in the heart series.
to sum it up, they called it musically great and lyrically brilliant
glad this is getting universally acclaimed, it's very well deserved.
No doubt this is by far the best The Heart song so far
5 > 2 > 3 > 4 > 1

“Where the energy is magnified and preserved consciousness is synchronized and made crystal”
Can someone break these line down for me? all I’m getting is a glass metaphor but I can’t grasp it completely genius isn’t helping either
The mind is a place where experience and phenomenon (energies) is collected and preserved in the form of emotion
Consciousness is kinda made up of this amalgamation of emotions, rational and irrational. And experiencing life every day reinforces our own consciousness as we make the choices and decisions of our everyday lives
This s*** not on the album right lol
don't think it is despite everyone hoping it will be...but definitely a waste considering how massively acclaimed it is already.

I’m sort of getting it but where does the mirror metaphor kinda connect it all?

dawg the first part of my reply
Human consciousness as a concept has never been proven and there are many theories for its existence. One of those being synchronous brain waves, also known as brain oscillations.
The theory behind the two basically relates brain wave patterns to mental states. One example of said mental state is enlightenment and to reach a state of enlightenment you must first start from the energies within.
Enlightenment is not something that can be rushed, bought, etc. but those who've claimed they've reach it say that it took a lot of self reflection/introspection and lead them to a continuous (crystal) clarity.
crystal/mirror metaphor comes from the reflection of oneself and the clarity that comes from it
