Can't wait to read. This beef has been in my life for so long, I remember the moments of drought can't believe it finally happened
I've been invested in this since the BET Cypher so I know how you feel. This s*** anime story level, and I'm sure there's still a few subs i missed
Can’t believe we’re finally at war with these two, s*** really feels like Mayweather Pacquiao

Both happened 10 years too late
hope they find that gq art director and beat his ass together as bonding experience
Game playing both sides of Drake & Kendrick even to this day is why i also think Game has been getting the cold shoulder from both Snoop n Dre since like 2014/2015 @op
Not only is it because Kendrick career is tied into them, but also on West rep in general
Sidenote: Has nothing to do with the Drake n Kendrick part. But also of why Snoop has been looking funny to the west for a while now too with all his chatty patty ish of Pac & him going deeper in the east.
I do think 2016 he was trying to peace it up with Kendrick
Drake also talked more friendly about Kendrick in that year & Kendrick was more neutral to Drake that just blowing him off
I do think the timestamp & 4free was part of Drakes olive branch
While the "top 5" was just rapper s*** against other big names at the time such as Future, Chainz, Rocky, Travis etc. who all had huge years in 2015 or 2016.
Drake imo put an olive branch out a few times every few years from this time forward, but i think this 2016 period was the only time Kendrick was thinking of being genuinely cool with Drake again. Not neutral not enemies. And i think Kendrick only other time of thinking to be Neutral was during his hiatus to MMBS.
I think DAMN is what ruined this potential reconciling. Kendrick doing Drake numbers & talking to Rihanna. Which Drake has two sides of the peaceful cool guy, but also the petty & spiteful guy. Which can flip any moment. Like what happened to Rocky later on & what happened in Control.
I do think Drake is more forgiving and "cool" than most in Rap
But i also think Drake is more sensitive and spiteful than most in Rap as well
Which it literally depends on the day which one he feels
And why we have all these issues where we are at today

That's what I pieced together doing this, Dre definitely didn't like that move

Drake also went 3 years without sending any real shots as well so I think he was trying to peace it up. I'm wondering what could've happened to cause Kendrick to jump out like that on IV. Maybe it is mostly directed at Sean 🤔

2018-2021 was def not a time where drake could take shots at anyone other than push
Also he was pretty inactive then, considering he only dropped a loose comp and leak comp in that time
Bruh f*** GQ. You can see the pain in both of their eyes

GQ traumatized my goats
Feel free to let me know anything I missed and I'll add it to OP
Great post, it’s also been speculated that Drake subbed Kendrick on “At the Gates” from 2023, saying he put him on and possibly referencing Backseat freestyle
“Fake woke, niggas fake deep
You ain't know fame before me
Gave yo' ass a lil' sneak peek, yeah
Now you gotta take a back seat”

I'd add the element OG drake diss to the original post
"Drake your meek mill beef might got you gassed up / but I'm a whole 'nother beast I'll really f*** you up"
The recent years of this Cold War have been interesting considering I wasn’t really keeping up with disses
Truthfully I thought both of them moved on
For Free was Drake being friendly. Kendrick was singing along to Controlla shortly before that came out
Seems like throughout the entire beef kendrick was the only one actually sending direct shots
