To be honest one thing that throws me off since you bring up the other tracks

It really seems like the end of Auntie Diaries is full on savior complex Kendrick. The whole “imagining himself standing up to a pastor in a church and making a speech in defense of trans people” it just comes off like he thinks he’s saving the world and solving this issue

And it just devolves into a debate about saying the F Word as if there’s not other things around this that need more conversation

I think Kendrick bit off more than he could chew tbh but I guess I’m not mad at it, it still adds to the humanity of the album but I honestly don’t know what the f*** he was actually trying to say

I think he could’ve put something in there toward the end to kind of explain or tie together the switching of genders and pronouns through the song

Honestly would’ve been more interesting for him to have a revelation based around that rather than the F word

Since pretty much everyone knows slurs are bad but what if he drove the point home that misgendering is wrong instead of leaving that part for interpretation

I disagree, he's not attempting to save anyone. The last part of the song puts that part in perspective: "today I chose humanity over religion" this is again about HIM, which is the entire theme of the album, him picking himself over everyone else

No. For me, it's more about the lens he uses.

Alot of his work, to me, sounds like him "blacksplaining". Almost like lecture based content for white people who feel guilty about their history.

Its like alot of black film.
