The advantage Kendrick has right now is that he dissed him on a song that is overwhelmingly the most popular song right now. Even though the whole song isn’t about Drake, it’s very similar to how Drake dropped Back to Back on Meek. This record is going to be here for a bit.

The first problem that Drake faces is that once he drops a response record, people will immediately judge whether it’s harder than Like That (which is a really good record. Diss aside). And based off of what he did with FATD, I just dont know if he’s gonna come with that on such short notice.

The second problem is, I just absolutely feel like his pen isn’t better. And after he responds, I think Kendrick is gonna let his real diss go just like Pusha did. Like That is absolutely bait just like Infrared was. There’s no way Kendrick did this record and is anticipating that nothing at all is coming back.

I agree with most of this. I don’t think Drake isn’t capable of putting together a good record dishing Kendrick, it’s just preparing the defense shortly after because Kendrick will probably have a bomb.

Hitting Kendrick would have to suffice something that actually paints the peoples champ as deeply flawed. Kinda hard to do post an album dedicated to him revealing himself and his pain to the world. Maybe he belittles his attempts at advocacy, but that has to be done in a precise way that doesn’t magnify what people have critiqued Drake for most of his career

The only thing in Drake’s favor is that he and the public have damn near heard everything critical about him on record via Pusha and others.

Drake is slowly being exposed as a fraud

This is so hard to watch as a fan

And he is making Instagram captions

    It’s truly over

    Common and Meeks catching strays

And it's wild having lived through the Drake vs Meek beef how Meek was once actually a respected rapper and Dreams Worth More Than Money was seen as him finally coming into his own compared to now where he's the butt of yall jokes. Nigga threw away all his goodwill over the years

  • Mar 28, 2024

Drake’s gotta hire someone like King Los to write his response at this point

That would be hard as f*** but Drake not doing that let's be real

It’s actually the only logical thing that makes sense. You have a 500M deal with Universal so the music is going to sell regardless lmaooo. The only thing is dude is a competitor and his ego wouldn’t let him go like that, but it’s the most effective play. Destroy everyone’s cover to see all of the potential threats in front of you instead of living in a paranoid state for the rest of your musical career

That has more to do with his Twitter persona though tbh his next two or three projects after that were still respected. Wins & Losses, DC4, and Championships. Especially when he was in jail for some bullshit and Eagles won the super bowl with his song as their anthem

But then again, if he does that and retires it's not a good look, especially if you're going after rappers who are more than willing to go back and forth. Future may not be one of them, but there's a number of rappers willing to get dirty

Did he lie though? Let’s be very real, Kendrick hasn’t seemed like he’s in a good place. He was literally just in shambles about whether he’s our savior. Now this comes out of nowhere? It’s erratic behavior. Maybe it’s not right to battle someone who is clearly battling their own demons.

Lmao didn’t Drake diss Cudi for mental health problems?
