They shouldn't have touched this one though. Just release as it is.
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAKZVm4d3EQThis sounds finished and ready to go. Like it would've been a fire 90s hit bro
I feel alot of the good songs that had to get "retouched" was cause of sample clearances. Cause this one aint it.
@Syllable @SegaDreamFlash
I agree with that. A lot of his newer mixes sound good but the OG’s sound way more natural.
Also I wish mods would completely nuke my old account lmao. @Syllable i forgot my password to that one. And my other one @SyllabIes I nuked myself lol

Just found out DJ Quick made this beat! Due to clearance issues, it wasn’t officially released. Such a timeless record. Your kids’ kids will be listening to this in 2084."

From Reddit:
A “euphoria” bar I don’t see discussed enough
I’ve been listening to the What’s the Dirt videos about the beef this weekend, and I figured if anyone would highlight this point it would be him…but it hasn’t happened yet. (No shade, his breakdowns are great.)
The bar I want to highlight is this: “Hellcat, made his homeboys and them types sell they soul, okay Everybody wanna be demon 'til they get chipped by your throwaway And I might do a show a day”
I think this is a clear reference to “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted,” a track by Tupac and Snoop. In one of the verses Pac says this:
“They tell me not to roll with my Glock So now I got a throw-away Floatin' in the black Benz, tryin' to do a show a day”
I think there’s a few things going on with the line. I’ll go from the least reaching to the furthest reaches:
It’s an obvious homage to Pac and a flex that Kendrick is part of the culture enough to be able to throw in references like this that Drake wouldn’t be able to do.
It’s a collab between Snoop and Pac, the two people Drake used AI to emulate in “Taylor Made Freestyle.” It’s, more or less, Kendrick saying to Drake, “You may try to imitate these guys, but I actually know their work and ethos.”
There’s a nicely implied threat of violence, like we see in the New Ho King line.
Kendrick contrasts Drake’s culture with Tupac’s culture by contrasting the Hellcat (shortly before the “everybody want to be a demon” line) with Tupac’s Benz. Drake may have sold his soul for the flashiness of the Hellcat so that he could be a demon, but he’s getting chipped by Kendrick’s throwaway as he rides in the “black Benz,” embodying the real life of slow luxury. This one is admittedly a bit of a stretch, but I think it’s interesting when you consider the clear allusion to the cars in the Hellcat/Demon lines + Tupac’s explicit mention of his Benz.
This doesn’t really move the needle on the diss or make it some hidden shot, necessarily. But, I think it’s a more complex bar than has been appreciated and shows just how skilled Kendrick is.

"isnt she beautiful, get it sexy right folks"
"isnt she beautiful, get it sexy right folks"
LOL I am sorry but I need this to happen now
"isnt she beautiful, get it sexy right folks"
yo i read this in trump voice and started cackling
I mean I'll say they did a FIRE job changing the entire concept of the original track (just a 90s posse cut over a fire beat) to a more bigger type of track tbh.
Wait this was an actual track with both biggie and pac? I didn’t know that
"Joe is a Rich Baby Daddy to these migrants out here when he should be feeding the American homeless"

Kendrick has studied Drake more than Drake has Kendrick tbh.

It sucks Trump is such a terrible person cuz he is legit f***ing hilarious
everything needs balance
this was a good way to rework a song cause they didn't really change up anything on the Original version. but just polish it more with the extra Isley.
