Just know that
The big 3s of each decade
70s: 3 random rappers from Sugarhill Gang
80s: Run DMC, Chuck D, and Eazy E
90s: Ice Cube, Dr Dre, and Tupac
00s: Wayne, Ye, and Pimp C
10s: Cole, Kendrick and Drake
20s: soon
Need LL in the 80s take out Chuck D
its different every 3 years or so, not 10
More like 5 or 6 but it varies
It’s been drake Cole and Kendrick for almost 10 years now. Late 2014 and early 2015 is when the big 3 became official with FHD, TPAB and IYRT within a few months. Hasn’t changed since then
Bro what
Dark Fantasy/WTT was Kanye on his last artistic legs?
He still from a different gen.
Also, after came Yeezus, TLOP, Daytona prod, KSG, Donda lol
That man is maybe now artistically on his last legs (but still going #1)
He's arguably the goat with such a ridiculous run. Different from the top 3 of the 2010s
WE'RE LITERALLY JUST YAPPING IN THIS THREAD
F*** THIS
NO DISS TRACK COMING
F*** ALL OF THIS

The 10s is post prime washed Ye
I’m not saying he never did good
stuff after, but WTT and Yeezus were definitely the last moments he was actually “a part of the game” and not an OG who comes around every few years with some decent music
Kendrick: I have a choice between s*** with the FBI or Getting my f***ing IP leaked? you guys are f***ed. im not leaking s***. leak my f***ing IP, Im done

Nothing lol see my list for the actual list of who was picked in real time.
Just got the call…. Nothing will be the same after tonight

Everybody heaven gated
Need LL in the 80s take out Chuck D
There’s two big 3s of the 80s
The first is indisputable and has been cited many times as “the trinity” Melle Mel, Kool Moe Dee, and Grandmaster Caz. Bleeding over from the late 70s to early 80s
Then there is a second trinity which begins with Rakim and Big Daddy Kane, the two who took influence from the original trinity to a whole new level. It’s somewhat debated if the 3rd person should be KRS or Kool G Rap. At this time, mainstream success wasn’t as important in these conversations, so as huge as LL was, he wasn’t put in this trinity because he wasn’t seen as a lyricist in the same sense as the others.
Dont sleep.
