Alright, so here are my thoughts and theories. It's kinda long so ignore it if you don't wanna engage and please, be reasonable and don't troll. I'd like to read some of y'alls thoughts about things you might or might not agree with.

Again, these are just MY THOUGHTS/THEORIES.

I don't think Kendrick chose this moment in time to jump out and take direct shots at Drake just for the sake of it. I think everything leading up from the cultural reception/commercial performance of MMATBS to how every song he's been on since then (with the exception of Like That, of course) had zero impact whatsoever, all led him to choosing to go at Drake because he knows that's really the only other card he has left to play. I think he knows how thirsty people still are to see them go at it and he knows that's a surefire way to drum up some much-needed momentum heading into his next album, which I think will drop this summer (everything is a rollout, after all).

I think Kendrick's plan was was to drop the verse on Like That and have Drake jump out immediately with a response (he probably figured that'd be what Drake would do since that's how Drake reacted to Meek and Push) and then he'd hit him with what he had in the tuck, grab a quick W and have all that momentum leading up to the summer.

I don't think Kendrick saw Like That being this big commercially and I don't think he even needed it to be big commercially. I think he just needed all the noise and chaos it'd cause, much like his Control verse did, because he knew all of it would paint him in a good light and have his name thrown into discussions again.

I think Drake has a response ready, but after the Push situation, I think he's learned to let logic lead and not emotions when heading into potential battles with rappers. I think he believes Kendrick doesn't really want to battle but simply wants all the noise and chatter around his name, similar to what he did with his Control verse and so I don't think he feels any sort of pressure to jump out the window first. I think he's ready to do so only if Kendrick goes at him again, preferably with a diss track, so he's sure he is serious about things. I also think part of the reason behind his silence is because he's trying to figure out how deep this s*** goes and he's trying to see just how many people have turned against him and what the industry agenda is against him.

I think Drake will release an album this year where he addresses EVERYTHING and more.

@YeezySaves23 I said something similar a few days ago.

Huh? What kinda lie is this like Kendrick hasn't been sending shots back on every single project since TPAB?

It's been known for a long time that Drake got ab implants from Dr. Miami. When Drake's d*** pic leaked, Dr. Miami tweeted this out of the blue:

He hates Drake because Drake went at Megan Thee Stallion and he's calls himself a Hottie. Drake never got anything done by him. He just shades Drake whenever he can now since Her Loss.

The ab implants rumour goes back to 2014-15

All eyes on Drake. People will question his legacy if he doesn't drop a diss that is extremely, extremely good. He has to move in the correct way and be 100% certain in every step he takes.

It was gkmc where that tweet happened

But, it did become a meme on ktt1 diring tpab after all the control, bet awards cypher and king kunta direct shots at drake and the built up animosity that it caused

Ive been here a long time and im probably one of the few niggas on this site that know ALL THREE OF their history heavy unlike these niggas making up fairites tales and rules while only half way knowing one history and nobody elses and i was actually outside and poppin online in the 2010s i am the old guard

But the whole thing of Top is that he thought GKMC was gonna have a bigger fw, it did like 200k and a half fw, but top is dumb for that tweet should have kept it to itself. 30 to 40k in a single area is amazing for that type of number it already takes a huge percentage when thays not the norm, but he expected it to be bigger (which doesnt make sense imo it was his first major album and when gkmc first dropped he was still "unknown" to non underground fans & he transitioned from underground to mainstream super quick)

But GKMC had the final laugh, its literally the most streamed Rap album of all time & the most successful of that decade (and of all time with streaming), Take Care is 2nd and like a month or two behind. Its been like forever and still is.

    Again, niggas are stupid

GKMC is not the most streamed rap album of all time (what kind of stupid, unnecessary lie is this?)

It's also not the most successful of the 2010s decade. Take Care has sold over 10M units in the US and scored multiple top 10/top 20 hit singles. GKMC isn't even at 7M units yet and had 1 top 20 single.

Take Care was released a year earlier and is currently outselling GKMC.

Who cares? 3 weeks isn't something impressive, especially considering the lack of drops.

Too Sweet by Hozier catching up and Tay Tay dropping next week. Enjoy.

It's been 3 weeks what is he writing at this point ? A book ? He hired a private investigator or sum ?

It's just becoming clearer and clearer that he's probably not going to answer because who would care if that thing comes next month. The delay is already a huge L by itself.
