Cause I thought the movie sounded interesting. All I said was it could maybe be a funny biting satire like Blazing Saddles if handled right. Can’t a dude just come in a thread and say “hey sounds cool, might check it out, reminds of this” without having to get into headache inducing twitter level bullshit.

This plot sounds dumb for many reasons. Time will of course tell but there is a reason they got south park peeps, kendrick front and center because they know the plot on paper is trash

you could be Nigerian and I would still say this plot is dumb even if south park creators weren't being used for production
Many of us have already been complaining about movies where black actors are forced to reenact slavery so what better than a movie where a black actor reenacts slavery in it as an internship to get experience while dating a white woman then everything changes when they realize that their white partner ancestors owned slaves

It isn't that shocking
it really isnt that funnyout of all your opening projects could do anything and its still teehee slavery and I dont even care about slavery as deep as most

It sounds like the filmmakers agree with you and want to comment on the idea of black people always having to play slaves. It seems odd to me that you wouldn't want to see that satirised as your views seem to be on the same wavelength.
Obviously, you're entitled to your own opinion, and I doubt very much that this will have a big release, so it should be easy enough to avoid.
(I don't understand what "out of all your opening projects" means, but if it's about the video linked, I merely added that to show that Chatman seems more interested in attacking colonialism than black people themselves.)

As in I ain’t offended . When ye said slavery seems like a choice I wasn’t up in arms . I’ve read the slave narratives im informed on its horror but im just tired of the topic be it comedy , horror , romance, drama of slavery setting so hope movie is self aware of that
