Kendrick is quite possibly the smartest and greatest hip hop artist ever so I can't see him not making a classic.
From what we've seen, kendrick cares about critics and his legacy more than anything so there's no way he drops an album that isn't perfect lmao
I find this to be a very remote possibility, especially when it comes to a Kendrick album but let's see
I mean, this is a Kanye forum and we've watched thousands of his stans pretend his output the last 3 years was good so I'm not sure how you came to this conclusion
Drake bad
Why would you compare this to WLR? That’s being dragged cuz it’s god awful. The one project that’s worse from this year is tattle tales
Lol

tbh, kendrick seems to know how to make flawless music from an objective standpoint...artists that have that rare ability usually dont lose it
If Damn is radio bait then wtf is Scorpion
^ then wtf is every single drake project
Hes kinda is the jay z territory where everything will be celebrated at this point unless its really bad
true, drake fans tried to drag tpab but they still failed as tpab is now considered the best album of the 2010s and one of the best albums of all time in any genre
Great albums always, ALWAYS end up getting acclaimed and s*** albums always end up getting critically panned. No exception.

This.
Kendrick's next album will most likely be another classic, because thats what the man does

sure , oh except from Paul's Boutique, Metal Machine Music, Velvet Underground and Nico, Drukqs, 808s and Heartbreak, Houses of the Holy, Souvlaki, Pinkerton, In Utero, A Love Supreme, Black Sabbath 1970, Pink Moon, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, Exile on Main Street, The Ramones, Pinkerton, Paranoid, Are You Experienced, Led Zeppelin, Harvest, Blood on the Tracks, Nevermind
pretty much every album that has made a dent on modern culture, meanwhile there are whole articles of music journalists retracting their praise just one year after the "critic-proof" TPAB came out

Nobody has retracted s*** lmfao, these same journalists have admitted it was still the best album of the last decade...and one of the guy retracting his praise 1 year later took on twitter 3 months ago to say he finally understands why TPAB could be considered as the greatest album in history. Nice try though.
Some do admit they personally don't enjoy it that much, but they can still make the difference between "an objectively outstanding album" and "something they personally and subjectively enjoy or not". Like P.T. said in 2017, Tpab is not for him, but he can still admit it is the greatest hip hop album he ever heard.
oh and
edit: and all the albums you listed are still not an exception...I appreciate your subjective tastes, but doesn't change s***.
it's actually true, I don't think I've ever seen a good album that was panned by critics Some of these albums did make an impact on the game but that still doesn't make them good lol
and I've never heard a bad album that was acclaimed
tbh every single project he dropped so far is an objective masterpiece (and its always a different project, appealing to a different audience, but still...)
I'd be extremely surprised if he couldn't deliver...the guy simply understands music. If his album is less focused on rap, the crap will def have a flawless musical composition (like tpab)
I haven't enjoyed his music since GKMC, just a song here and there.
Will listen though.
