Post Malone in 2019 is a bigger artist than Post Malone in 2018 but he still did lower numbers with his 2019 album than his 2018 album. I don't even think Drake will match Scorpion's numbers. This isn't because they've lost their appeal. It's because the industry is dead. Digital and physical sales are dead.

Drake pulled 750 million US streams with Scorpion. That's like 550K units and I don't see Kendrick or even Drake doing that number again.

Scorpion outperformed Views despite having a smaller first week sales output. That's how I see the progression from DAMN. to this next album, a much larger streaming debut and much smaller pure sales debut.
