    Uhoh

Well i mean saying it will outsell cole is obvious

But kendricks sales depend on how accessible it sounds

    It’s not obvious at all

Cole is bigger than he’s ever been now and he might actually put some effort into his rollout next time around

The real debate should be how anytime anyone wants to demonstrate any other rapper's success, they bring Drake up. We can all talk about Drake's success without bringing anyone else up, but the same can't be said for Kendrick. All this thread had to say was Kendrick would outdo the numbers he did with DAMN. but no, Drake had to be brought into the discussion.

“You compared someone to drake so that MEANS drake is the best”

Nah it don’t bruh we can easily ponder whether or not Drake outselling Adele (spoiler he’s not)

You completely missed my point. Drake is always the benchmark for other rappers. There's a reason why his name comes up when other rappers drop albums. Just wait. When Kendrick drops his album, people will spend more time trying to use his album to try to pull Drake down by comparing both of them instead of just enjoying Kendrick's album for what it is. The person who made this thread has a Drake obsession himself.

Drake is literally the standard of how statistically successful a rapper can be so naturally hes a point of reference to rising artists. I think it’s good for hip hop to see the gap closing instead of just one dominant figure. It’s more representation and more perspective for hip hop as a whole

Well yeah sales comparisons are almost always held against The highest sold albums? Still don’t get what you’re trying to say

Would be interesting to say the least bc KTT only remembers the last thing that happened.. those kids disrespect Kanye freely and compare him to artists far below his caliber bc they didn't like his last 2 years ffs. You can have 10 years of dominance but if you slip once they'll never look past it.

It seems far fetched but still

Constantly improving does not equal to commercial success. Kendrick had his biggest fw sale in 2017...we're in 2020. Hes gonna do great but not better than drakes numbers fo sure. If post malone aint breaking 500k then I doubt kdot will tbh

I’m not seeing the connection between post Malone and Kendrick

You didnt have to say all that b I already agreed after I read the title

I'd rather Kendrick make something like tpab than radio bait like damn agian

Then youre just blind. Its obvious more popular and mainstream acts get more sales and post malone is more popular than kendrick. Therefore if post is not selling pver 500k then kendrick most likely is not going to either and he aint gonna outsell drake
