I think thats what they were gonna do but after what happened in the capital and with how he still kept encouraging the rioters they just decided to pull the plug 2 weeks early.
Overall i think we all forget social media is still very new and as a society we are still adjusting to it

Nooooooo. There shouldn't be laws making leaders invulnerable from punishment on platforms. Especially if they're breaking the rules of that platform and the creators no longer want them there, they shouldn't be able to circumvent rules because of their political position/affiliation. His presidency is coming to an end soon regardless, PLUS
He has many channels to make Presidential announcements that isn't Twitter, and we'll definitely hear them regardless.
