those tweets, communicated in real time, can then be used by news and media outlets to spread the information
the alternative is the white house announcing a press conference, delaying the time from an hour so everyone can try and tune in, then have the news outlets summarize and post about it

Tbh.Like I said, they’re glad to personally verify people and sell up to the second info and updates from these people, but as soon as that person acts up, Twitter is completely separate?
I agree with that. It took them ages to ban David Duke from Twitter after intense amounts of backlash, and they still allow certain figures free reign on the site, simply because it allows them traffic to be generated.
The reality is that they're still in a social media company mindset when, in reality, they've become something bigger than themselves and more uncontrollable.

Nooooooo. There shouldn't be laws making leaders invulnerable from punishment on platforms. Especially if they're breaking the rules of that platform and the creators no longer want them there, they shouldn't be able to circumvent rules because of their political position/affiliation. His presidency is coming to an end soon regardless, PLUS
He has many channels to make Presidential announcements that isn't Twitter, and we'll definitely hear them regardless.
i wouldnt even mind if they muted him UNLESS it was about an important update americans needed to hear. they can restrict, but full out ban for a world leader is a little suspect to me
