Yea it needs to be more cartoony. I think I liked it in KH3 for a while but it aged fast and aged badly. Characters look stiff as hell, not super life like, and just not very Kingdom Hearts like. They lack a total certain energy, at least in the Yen Sid tower scenes and some of the original worlds. The Disney characters and worlds got the best end of the deal in most scenarios between the games that feature the PS4 art style.

No one in any of these games seem as menacing or powerful as they did in PS2 and 3DS-tier graphics and that takes away a lot of the energy of the series.

I like the Unreal Engine graphics, it started out really rough but they got it to look amazing before they got it out. It's just weird seeing some of the 2D Disney movies in that 3D style. Only character that seemed a bit off in comparison to the old graphics is Kairi, face is a bit off at points. Other than that most of the characters, worlds, and gameplay looks better.
