Like when you really think about it’s not close. Kobe was a physiological genius. His work ethnic was unmatched. I know people say at this level everybody training hard but like no nigga this dude was training every f***ing day no vacations. LeBron is obvi more of an athlete and many other greats but none of them had the killer instinct Kobe had. MJ had it to obvi but Kobe took it to another level. He obvi learned from MJ a lot cos he was mentored by him. People will say MJ based off more rings but Kobe won 5 with less talent. I think when you look at the whole totality Kobe had the best story imo. 60 pt game to retire no player has ever done that s***. I know ppl will say Kobe needed Shaq but that’s the dumbest s*** ever. Kobe would of won anywhere. No disrespect to Shaq just the truth.

He's my personal GOAT, but realistic, I'd probably Jordan & Kareem ahead of him.

  • Jul 14, 2020

    Obvi

  • Jul 14, 2020

he didn’t even have the killer instinct til later in his career he doesn’t even compare tbh. He’s a freak of nature but mamba mentality was different can’t compare

I didn’t watch Kareem like that but I know he’s not better than Kobe. I mean they play diff positions to begin with but there’s no way he had a better career than Kobe

True they do play different postions however, when most people make a top 10 list, they include people that played every position. Kobe's the 2nd best SG of all time (IMO). As for Kareem, all time leader in points, 6x NBA champ, 19x All Star, ROY, 10x NBA First Team, 5x All Defensive, 2x NBA leading scorer, rebounding champ. Plus in college, he won 3 NCAA tiles & went 88-2.

See that’s cool and all but Kobe came straight outta high school and started s***ting on niggas you can’t compare. I think Kobe had more control of the outcome of a game more than anybody

I'll agree to that, plus either 2001-02 or 2002-03 Kobe was some of the greatest basketball I've ever seen in my life. Still would put Kareem ahead of him though (but it's not by a huge margin).

Kobe is a goat, was the biggest Kobe & Jordan (only cause I’m a Chicagoan) fan growing up. After time though I realized LeBron is the best. I’m now the biggest LeBron fan lol & I’m from Chicago, which you could assume gets me a lot of hate.

I just can’t see how bron can compare to Kobe. Their built from diff cloths man. Kobe would never take a f***ing game off. He would never work out with his peers. He would never team up with two other stars. It was a different kind of mentality. Mamba mentality @ClubParadise

If MJ hadn’t retired twice as reigning 3-peat champion he could have 8 rings easily

Sounds like he might've had the best work ethic, dedication, and mindset in the game, but does that translate to best overall player ever?

Yeah cos he had mite talent. More rings doesn’t justify who’s better if that’s the case bill russell is the king

Yeah it kinda does. Because he’s in a league of his own you can’t compare guys like bron to
    Him

  • Jul 15, 2020

Well I’m just giving you a break down that’s there’s levels. Yeah maybe to you bron is the best but you’re a prisoner of the moment. Bron isn’t no where near Kobe status. Kobe was a killer and would of schooled bron if he would of made the finals that one year. Most are just hypebeast that nuthug bron

Word I feel you, I guess it all depends on what your individual idea of "greatest" means. It ain't Bron though you right

The greatest players of all time w/ peak performance, all around talent/skill set, accolades & longevity all in mind are -

    1. Michael Jordan
    2. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
    3. Magic Johnson
    4. Kobe Bryant
    5. LeBron James

Shaq, Wilt, Russell, Hakeem, Duncan, Bird and a few others are close but fall after the 5 I listed. Those guys are undoubtedly top 5 and Kobe is not #1 (and this is coming from one of his biggest fans)
