How tf is that pretentious he’s a black man from the south. That type of music is his culture.

And his music always had a pro black message to it.

And how was the album carried entirely by production when he’s a good singer

    U niggas are so lame

his music was pretty anti black at the beginning tbh

I remember him rapping about his cousins getting locked up and s*** and his point of view on things as a suburban black kid growing up.

Don’t get me wrong thi everything before BTI was awful

Dope, but very transparent in terms of what influenced the sound on that album

felt like the flipside of 24k magic tbh

Idk on Camp he seemed to be complaining that black people didn’t accept him because he was a nerd and didn’t like his music cause he wasn’t rapping about selling d**** and killing people

as if ATCQ, Lupe, Kanye and Drake don’t exist

Man went from being on Community and making corny pun-rap albums, to a ‘woke’ soul/funk record. Everything about it so pretentious and inauthentic. The album is carried entirely by the good production

Me and Your Momma is lowkey the one track that i think broke the mold off that album. . .

  • Feb 21, 2020

love this album. one of my favorite rnb projects of the decade
