how when we had prime Wayne and Ye
they don’t actually like Wayne on here lol
Wayne has been reduced to a token artist people like to bring up for his influence and impact on the game to look knowledgeable, so 2000s being the worst rap decade fits finely
It really is
Let's agree that from this point forward this is a tubig hate thread

"The 2000s were better"
"New music sucks"
"Everything new is wack and the old stuff was categorically better"
Y'all are just washed. Times change, trends change, sounds change, etc. There can be a fair argument to have about certain growing pains as musical eras shift with regard to creative slumps and fluctuating commercial performance, but the vast majority of y'all are just clinging to old models and concepts of how music is supposed to work and are mad that the actually existing industry landscape is no longer operating on that model.
Tiresome to talk about because this site is filled with a bunch of tryhard borderline Gen Zers who have a superiority complex they need to flex over actual teenagers because they fell out of sync with the culture around the mid 2010s. Washed as hell, by 2028 this place gonna be Coli tier
Nah, the 00’s were better.
OP mad no one likes his D list Pluggnb rapper who gonna go down for talking to minors
Every decade has some good musicians
yeah but what new artists are on a run as good as theirs though
Gotta say "being outta touch" with music today hasn't really felt like much of a bad thing personally. I don't feel like I'm missing out on much these days contrary to what y'all swear by.

In 2020s?
Not many we mainly got big legacy acts I feel like. Spottem came and went (tf happened to him anyways) and most hyped s*** is old artists
I guess babytron but his run isn't that good, rxkneph, etc
But we're not even 3 full years in yet so idk

Cause you're not missing out 🤷🏾♂️
Name one rap album after 2020 that’s not from a legacy artist that is as good as the loved albums from the 2000s and the 2010s.
Whole Lotta Red
the underground scene of the 2010s created legacy acts.
that has yet to be determined for the underground acts of today. i'm not even talking about quality but the art of building a fanbase is LOST. a lot of artists today are chasing quick fame, quick money, and do NOT care about the art.
Theyre out of touch with job applications too

Why dont you have a job?
yall call anyone with principles that’s willing to stand on their s*** “pretentious”
far from it man. there’s a way to have a discussion about how a lot of the site doesn’t seem to give new rap music a chance and unfairly compare it to the legacy acts both old and new music without boiling it down to “gen z tryhards” who are trying to s*** on the people who listen to said new music. all this is attacking the people without actually even speaking on the music in depth with the original post. boils it down to a type of person being close minded and not anything to do with well maybe this is why they think that, but this is still why they’re wrong. the music is almost an after thought to the discussion, the bigger problem is the listener which seems to be kinda reductive and likely not really going to go anywhere because people don’t like being told they are dustheads who needa tap into the new gen.
KTT has fell deep into the nostalgia hole it’s been sad to see. I’m getting old myself but can still appreciate new music cause I don’t feel the need to compare it to albums I’ve made memories with
Plus I’ve seen this site switch on albums so many times I can’t take opinions too seriously anymore
This site is definitely out of touch with music fr. Back in the day niggas was down to listen to B tier niggas, even C tier niggas. But now it’s like only the mainstream matters to them. A lot of posters are getting older so maybe their rap phase is coming to an end. It’s not uncommon for people that didn’t grow up on hip hop to dismiss it once they get older. Rap is like a rebel phase for a certain demographic.

if you think everything new sucks just look up a random @proper music thread and stop whining. pull yourself up by the bootstraps
This. There’s plenty of music threads putting people on.
@DiamondsFlooded been putting in work in my thread. Bro put me on to mad s***, so there’s no excuses for dudes. They’d rather complain than to find something that fit their style.
and ay I can admit I can be out of touch at times, im getting older, more busy but this new era IS different. some good things about it, some bad things too. I think the culture is the bad part. quality artists will always be around.

Sometimes I wanna make a thread but then proper already made it..
