i agree with op tho, "hyperpop" is a lame title but there's a lotta great up and comers within it doing really creative stuff, some boring stuff but overall cool stuff from a lot of people,
There’s so much “hyperpop” on SoundCloud and it sounds the same, the artists I posted are all original af and do their own thing
its a fact that a lot of people been here for years and are now in their mid 20s and not as into all these new rappers as we were some years ago
there's nothing wrong with that, or with people who are still actively bumping these new artists and enjoying them
idk im like a non volatile memory express solid state drive very high storage capacity ii need to be fed new information every day to satiate myself
The people in here who bring up bladee are just exposing how lame they are
rude
Rym is filled with sematary I can see him blowing up, all these artists have huge co-signs too, sheck Wes hit up meat computer to make a song recently for example
sheck wes is not gonna make anyone famous

What is your idea of famous cause he is connected to the most important people in music rn

Maaaaan... what happened to this forum... there’s still the odd pocket of actual music discussion/dissection. But then there’s all these people posting complete trash, saying we missed the wave? You got to be kidding me. Smh.
F*** your wave. This s***s pathetic.

LMAO mans said F*** your wave!
sheck wes is not gonna make anyone famous
“shock Wes hit up meatcomputer” the most 2020 ass sentence I’ve ever heard
Hiphop always been a young mens sport
We not really old, but most of us are past this phase in life regarding new music. This for sure doesn't apply to everyone but the amount of threads i have seen in 2020 by people who said they (partly) lost their interest in music..
Sure, that's true but is this even "hip-hop"? I feel like this music isn't in any regard even related to rap lol and something else I noticed is that these artists get younger and younger by the year. All of these "tik tok rappers" like kidd laroi or whoever are like 16/17 now. Not even like 3 years ago we were calling Uzi and Yachty "super young" and they were like 20/21 at the time.. so it just keeps getting younger and younger it seems like. to the point where most of these rappers can't even legally DO THE things they talk about in their music
Idk bout you though but I still actively try to find new music, maybe not popular s*** but definitely underground stuff... some of my favorite rappers are super underground guys from the depths of spotify

and he doesnt use those connections for himself, hes not trying to be mainstream, hes not gonna put anyone on

I would bet everything I’m worth that what I posted is all going to blow up
Tbh I feel like I’ve Been heard a ton of Music like this but it’s either just regular electronic and so less vocal heavy or like...older Keef and just random rap in general. I really don’t see anything that separates this from that besides them being white...no offense.

It was just one example, meat computer is also working on an album with wiccaphase and just did the intro music to the brake check podcast, it’s all these small things that buildup to an artist getting label recognition
