no clue how he does his s*** half the time

I just listened to multiple tracks and I f*** with all of it.

The production is chill but still engaging and not low effort Lo-Fi.

Also, is that you singing on those songs?

    Albums might be too specific

But I’d say I took allot of inspiration from J Dilla, Neptunes, Kanye, 9th Wonder, T-Pain, Lex Luger, Zaytoven & maybe some Soulja Boy

I’ll do artists instead of specific albums

Madlib, Alchemist and Dilla always gonna be my top 3. I mainly make sample based stuff and I think their ears when it comes to finding good/unique samples is on another level. Also the way Dilla chopped stuff and the way Al layers samples and builds transitions/ear candy are the biggest things I draw from them

I got into Daft Punk a lot later but they really opened my ears to sampling disco and funk stuff (that’s usually stuff hip hop producers skip over). I’m also into Synth based and electronic music that I think stems from them. Especially the mixing of samples and heavy a***og synths.

I’m also into Ambient music and the way Clams Casino blends that with hip hop and samples has always inspired me. His music just sounds like no one else’s and the textures he makes are otherworldly

Radiohead also been influencing me with the ambient synth and electronic music. I really love that stuff mixed with more live instrumentation. Every time I work on composing my own samples I’m always listening to them, Pink Floyd or some random Prog rock album I’ve found digging

I also wanna throw in Just Blaze and Bink just because I love how live their drums sound. Also Massive attack and Portis head but I don’t feel like typing anymore lol

Super weird typing this out but I guess you can kinda see what elements and styles of music I’m really into making

Also Shoutout Nicholas Jaar, Frank Dukes, Gesaffelstein, Flying Lotus, James Blake, Danger Mouse, The Flaming Lips, Knxwledge, Paul White, RZA, Preemo, Colin Stetson, Dean Blunt, Blood Orange and the other million people I’ve forgot lol
