Hopefully this is a sign to labels to just let artists release s*** how they please. Let them be in control of the product they created. Not everything has to be marketed to everybody. The people who like it will listen and from there word of mouth comes into play.

I have no idea how they didn't think it would perform well if released back in 2012.

Exactly, people at end of the day care about the music quality and not how mainstream it is. Look at TPAB, the album is relatively left field yet most people including average joes f***ed with it. It's baffling how labels are still out of touch
