Jay Visionz Sits Down for Exclusive Interview with Creative Visions Magazine

So Glad to have you here with us today
Thank you, I'm happy to be here
So tell us about how you got to this point and how are you dealing with your new found fame?
Aww man, where do I start haha. So honestly, i don't really look at myself as famous. Popular maybe but not yet famous. I haven't even released an actual project yet but that is soon gonna change. I really don't know how I got so popular in the business. Most of the people that i've been meeting have found out about me through social media where people have filmed me performing. The whole time I never made music to be famous, I made it because I have a story to tell, a truth that can inspire the next generations going forward. It's has always been about the music first before anything.

After Sade took you under their wing, what was the process to being signed?
So after I met Sade, we immediately went to work. We began by just working on song structures and not necessarily a full blown album or project. A few months after we took a step back and realized we had something very special to present. We were already about 70% finished with this project when one day during our sessions, Sade informed me that a close friend of hers would be visiting and helping us work. About an hour later, a man named Peter Edge walks through the door and Sade sits us down. She explains to me that Peter Edge is the chairman and CEO of RCA Records and that he was very interested in my talents. We had a conversation and arranged a deal that was to amazing to pass up and the rest is history.

So what now? Tell us about this upcoming album of yours and what's in store for you
So basically we finished up the remaining 30% of the album under RCA Records and are planning to release it in Two Weeks. The Album is called, "Now That I've Found You" and is a story about a journey of a young boy to adulthood and all the trials that come with it. It's much more than a simple love story, it's a story of life that we can relate to and bring in personally to our own lives. Nostalgia is a big thing for me and brings a joy to my own life so I wanted to induce that feeling with this project and give a feeling of true love and artistry that has been missing in the game for so many years. I have worked with some amazing individuals on this project and can't wait for you to hear it. I also have a tour coming up with another R&B Artist but I have to keep that on the low for right now until we confirm a few more things. The album will be an Apple Music Exclusive and I will be dropping my very first single as well as music video and Album Trailer & Tracklist very soon so stay tuned.

Well That Pretty Much Wraps Everything up for us, thank you so much for stopping by and giving us the inside scoop. Tell Rihanna Hi for us, we've been seeing you guys being boo'd up but I guess you want to keep it on the low huh?
Hhahaha, I'll tell her you guys said hello for sure and thank you so much it was a pleasure. Make sure you guys go get the album when it drops and it's all love.

@Cam_McNasty what do the judges think so far?
damn s*** so big it wont even post

Born Ricardo Rain Novak on October 31, 1994, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, raised in Harlem, New York, Rain was born from pain, suffering and music. Rain, an only child, was just an infant when both his parents were shot and killed in the French Quarter of NO.
Soon after Rain's guardianship fell to his only other living blood relative, his Grandmother. She took him in and brought him home to a crime ridden Harlem, New York.
Ricardo's Grandmother would try her best to keep her grandson from falling victim to the streets. But there's only so much you can do for your loved ones. He was a mostly sheltered boy in his early years. Because of this he was never interested in the same thing as his peers. Clothes, shoes, sports and school bored Rain as a child.
But by 9, Rain found his drive and was hooked on Hip hop. It began when he started rhyming with the opening of his favorite TV show, Static Shock, playing and watching MTV Jams.

Tupac, Outkast, Lauryn Hill and A Tribe Called Quest were among his favorite to listen to on MTV.
At 12, Rain started getting his intake of Hip Hop in other ways. He would steal CDs from his local RadioShack to stay updated on the latest from his favorite MCs. Unknowingly, Rain swiped the wrongs set of tapes one day.

The tapes were instantly placed among his favorites and drove him to further look into rock and roll. Rain would eventually go on to enjoy the music of Deftones, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, GG Allin and The Cranberries. At this point Rain wanted music to be his life and thus formed his love for creating music. Rain would spend his days writing music and skipping classes to freestyle with his friends.
There in Harlem is where his passion for music was born. But also where his innocence died. His now aging Grandmother did as much as she could to protect him from the dangers of the streets. But Rain lived in the worst part of Harlem where violence was routine and you either fall in line or get stepped on.
So by the age of 13, Rain and his friends had been initiated into the 147th Street Black Mafia street gang.
Now instead of skipping class to rhyme he had to leave school early to wash and count money for his OGs. Selling d****, robberies and car theft were soon added to his repertoire of crimes. Rain would save money from his escapades hoping to one day use it for his true purpose.

Fully immersed in the culture of d**** and violence and a ever fading parental influence, Ricardo grew up idolizing criminals, rappers and rockstars.
At 16, he and his closest friends formed their own clique within the gang, The Lost Boys. Vowing to always have each other's backs and to one day make it out the cycle they were placed in.
Rain and his brothers had created dangerous lives to lead, one that no one comes out unscathed.
At 16 years old, Rain lost his closest friend, Tank, to an apparent targeted shooting from a rival gang. Then one after another Rain began to lose many of his childhood friends to the streets. Most dead and the rest in prison.
Now at his worst, he began a path of self destruction that he found himself consumed in. Not caring if he lives or dies.
Within the following year he began taking prescription pills regularly but it wasn't enough for him to cope. Rain began taking multiple psychoactive substances such as mushrooms, DMT and acid to deal with his trauma, hoping to find a ways to end it. After months and months of an almost constant intake of d**** Rain experienced ego death while on an intense trip with his friends.
With a new outlook on life Rain decided to use his pain and passion to fan his ambition for music. First he wanted to get clean so he went to rehab.
Now 18, fresh out of rehab and refocused back onto his dream, he used the remaining money he had saved up over the years and put it toward his music career. Buying hundreds of hours of studio time he began crafting his art.
Throughout the next 3 years Ricardo would build his career up amassing a large local and online fanbase, all with no offical mixtape or album. Under the alias of "Neptune", he earned spots headlining for Nav and watched his career take off.
Thanks to Nav's connections he was able to secure a spot opening for Kid Cudi and A$AP Rocky.
Now with his name buzzing everywhere fans began to ask the infamous question... "where's the tape?"
After performing at The 2016 Governors Ball, Neptune announced his self titled mixtape would be dropping soon.
"Neptune" was released on July 13, 2016 to postive reception.
"Neptune" combined hard street bangers with cloud rap into a fusion that had not been heard ever before. Also on the tape Rain makes it clear that he has not forgotten where he came from with multiple references to his gang affiliation and Harlem all throughout the tape.
The tape featured the likes of Kid Cudi, NBA Youngboy, Lucki, FKA Twigs and Nipsey Hussle. A year later the tape had been streamed over 1,250,000 times on all platforms.
After touring Rain then went full ghost. After 2 years and some change of silence, Rain returns with a new alias and massive news.![]()

Turns out back in 2016 Reign and Abel had been introduced through Nav. After playing him his mixtape Abel was knew Rain was next up. Abel told him to continue his promo, drop, do features and keep touring. He'd tell him when it would be time to make it official. Now is that time.
After years of teasing snippets and dates, now is the the time for Reign to make his official studio debut under XO.
Now is time for Reign to gift his art to the world![]()

Artist Build: Mainstream/Crossover & Street Rapper
Artist Personality: GRODT era 50 cent
Executive producer: Working on Dying
Label: Universal Records
Age: 20
Debut Album: “Big Baby Cam” Self Titled
Cameron Simmons was born in Philly. The youngest of two brothers and one sister. Growing up his parents were never really in his life. His dad was in and out of prison and his mom was on d**** :( . Because of this cam went from foster home to foster home. Cam would always switch schools either due to getting in fights or due to his new foster home being moved. Eventually he found himself his brother and his sister settling in North Philly. His new foster parents were d***heads. His mother didn’t give a s*** what he did as she only took care of him and his siblings for the check and tax break.
This lead to Cam and his brother Dwayne finding acceptance and family in the streets. Cam began hustling at the age of 13. At the beginning it wasn’t much but it was enough for him to afford things he had always wanted such as sneakers, video games, clothes and jewelry. It was around this time that Cams oldest sister Sarah had gotten pregnant. He would eventually use this money to help his sister care for the baby. Cams oldest brother James was the oldest of the family and had moved to Atlanta. Cam never had much of a relationship with him.
Fast forward 4 years and Cam is 17. Hes the running his neighborhood and supporting himself through his hustling endeavors. He has a Benz and three cribs. A loft in Downtown Philadelphia and two apartments in his north philly neighborhood. Cam was chilling with his guys, Shooting dice, and kicking s*** like they would any other day. It was on this day that Cam would get a phone call that would change his life forever. His brother Dwayne had been killed.
He didn’t know what to think. His brother was his best friend. He called his sister and she explained to him what happened. Dwayne was coming home from school when some dudes from a rival hood tried to rob him. He didn’t know how he could go on. But this was only the beginning. Weeks later Cam and two other unidentified gang members would be picked up by the police. The charges? Possession with intent to distribute. Cam was looking at 15 years.
Because Cam was a minor he ended up getting off lighter than the people he was booked with. His sentence? 1 Years at a ranch for troubled teens. At this ranch Cam was one of three black kids. The rest were white. Cam took a liking to this kid named Tyler. Tyler showed him the music of Nirvana. Cam was taken aback. He had always been a fan of music but mostly hip hop and R&B. At this Ranch Cam would begin using the studio and would craft his debut mixtape “Cameron Cobain”.
The tape was released shortly after Cam was released. It was an instant success. 4 songs hit the top twenty on the billboard charts and in a year the tape was certified platinum. Shortly after Cam signed to Universal Records and got an DM on IG from Producer Oogie Mane of Working on Dying saying “I f*** with ur s***. Let us produce your debut album”. The rest would be history.
