some music is just timeless, it may be my bias but aaliyahs music has aged like fine wine
yes, it does, doesn't mean it isn't a brilliant song, but it sounds like its time.
think Lucky Daye, Jazmine Sullivan, Muni Long, PND, Bryson Tiller, Brent Faiyiaz, RnB is on a whole other wavelength now compared to then.

This person is just saying the song sounds of its time it does, and that new music sounds different
U can tell it was made in the 90s
But i think something is considered dated not just for being of its time, but for sounding weak in comparison to current music so thats why some beyonce songs get called dated and aaliyah doesnt
