i highly disagree
one in a million sounds dated 2 u?
some music is just timeless, it may be my bias but aaliyahs music has aged like fine wine
yes, it does, doesn't mean it isn't a brilliant song, but it sounds like its time.
think Lucky Daye, Jazmine Sullivan, Muni Long, PND, Bryson Tiller, Brent Faiyiaz, RnB is on a whole other wavelength now compared to then.
Sure, it's like a time capsule of the late 90's and early 2000's but in the best possible way.
i agree

I would trade all those artists in as a group for Aaliyah back

This person is just saying the song sounds of its time it does, and that new music sounds different
U can tell it was made in the 90s
But i think something is considered dated not just for being of its time, but for sounding weak in comparison to current music so thats why some beyonce songs get called dated and aaliyah doesnt

swear 2 god, nigga on d**** 2 say some s*** like that
got to give it up with slick rick
!https://youtu.be/rTkba6mXMisThey kept playing this in her biopic because blackground didn't clear her original music. I hated it by the end of the movie lol
My all time fav Aaliyah song.
I think it’s mine too.
My top 5 would be:
Loose Rap
Rock the Boat
Read Between the Line
Come Over
Are You That Somebody
Red album is so great… used to be my favorite album ever.
So many deep cuts that I like more than majority of the picks.
I Don’t Wanna wasn’t used?? Also Don’t Worry, Don’t Know What to Tell Ya, etc are better than most of these
good troll
modern RnB sounds a whole lot different than the production of Aaliyah's days. is that really a controversial take
