When I did write stories I was working on yes background music that got me in the mood would help. A lot of iteration rereading , mapping out what works and makes sense with other elements of the story. Definitely not silence but no lyrics

I like to write to sad music, female pop songs, sometimes Max Richter. Phoebe Bridgers, Sufjan, Taylor, Lorde’s Liability. Recently Quadeca’s I Didn’t Mean To Haunt You. I might play a song on repeat. Big emotions.

Max Richter a slapper always. Lol sometimes I even like things like Iglooghost so its just over the top

Been getting back into writing these past few days and since it’s been a while I’m doing googling a lot about formatting. Because of that it’s taking me longer than it used to. Between yesterday and today I wanna say I wrote 5 hours and I’m only at 7 pages
