    That $50 is crazy

Victim economy since social media been insane, especially in the US. Its like a contest on who feels most victimized by random tweets. This thread itself has tons of the ‘boo hoo, how about me, I’m a victim too’ variety of posts.

Best thing you could ever do for yourself as an individual is break out of the mental victimhood jail.

I thought black ppl couldn’t be racist

yea, the math equation. racism = power + privilege + prejudice. I’ve run the numbers and things aren’t adding up here.

Conspiracy theory books or movies are a waste of time. I watched a 3 hour long conspiracy doc by Tariq Nasheed last year and felt like my brain was melting by the amount of disproven stuff they were spreading

the r/nba thread is a great example of this too. so many people are trying to hold black people accountable for the actions from a few black celebs like Kyrie, Kanye and a few people with similar ideologies

Somebody gotta tell these hoteps its so much more to Africa than what was going on in North and Northeast Africa. Hardly ever see these niggas talking about the rich culture and religious/spiritual traditions going on in West Africa. Nah, these niggas just wanna be descendants of ancient Egyptian kings or Jews so damn bad...just a damn shame.

Joe Tsai: "I want to sit down and make sure Kyrie understands this is hurtful to all of us, and as a man of faith, it is wrong to promote hate based on race, ethnicity or religion."

    also, Joe Tsai:

In the United States, Tsai donates hundreds of millions of dollars to combat racism and discrimination. In China, Alibaba, under Tsai's leadership, partners with companies blacklisted by the U.S. government for supporting a "campaign of repression, mass arbitrary detention and high-tech surveillance" through state-of-the-art racial profiling.

Tsai has publicly defended some of China's most controversial policies. He described the government's brutal crackdown on dissent as necessary to promote economic growth; defended a law used to imprison scores of pro-democracy activists in Hong Kong as necessary to squelch separatism; and, when questioned about human rights, asserted that most of China's 1.4 billion citizens are "happy about where they are."

Under Tsai's leadership, Alibaba funded companies that helped China build "an intrusive, omnipresent surveillance state that uses emerging technologies to track individuals with greater efficiency," according to a 2020 congressional report. Those technologies have been used widely in the western region of Xinjiang, where the government has forced more than 1 million Uyghur Muslims and other ethnic minorities into barbed-wire "re-education" camps, policies that have been described as cultural "genocide" by the United States, several other countries and human rights organizations.

eh what do you mean with no ties to "their culture"?

there’s very of us (ADOS) who can trace their lineage back to a country / language off the nature of the atlantic slave trade

there’s a melancholia / alienation that stems from this and often goes ignored

    Ah gotcha, I understand!

I don't know if the melancholia is necessary though. We not gonna have just one lineage anyway from west africa, sure it sucks but I feel like the only people who has an issue with that would be Black Americans who are not educated enough about what their ancestors have persevered and accomplished from previous generations here in America.

what happens is hoteps will try to branch out to another culture as in attempt to make themselves feel more valuable cause they view their own culture/history (due to lack of intelligence) as pain and struggle and that is simply their way of removing themselves from that but hilariously still being aware they are still black
