look at zu man. such a defensive monster
We sometimes do dumb s*** like drafting Jerome over MPJ but then get Zubac from Lakers for a bag of chips
That's how it is
I love every single game of this team (except one you know which one π )
Ty Lue is my dad and PG is a God
Mook back let's get it going

man y'all euros are different
If feels nice being able to edit the title from 7-4 to 10-4
3W streak let's keep it goin!
Yeah on paper we should be able to get at least an 8W streak going
Sac W
OKC W x2
Atlanta W
But as you said you never know with this team... might drop an ugly one somewhere (like the early game against OKC...)
But tbh considering how well this team adjusts and how well we're playing even just after 14 games I think we should get 6-1 out of the next 7
5-2 worst case scenario
And then the Nets game
Clips have quietly looked like the best team in the league through the first 20% of the season when you account for who they've played and beaten, and how their 4 losses have come about
Beat GSW (up 20+)
Beat LAL (up 20+)
Beat DEN (Up 20+)
Beat Phx (Up 20+)
Beat healthy Portland (Up 20+)
Beat IND (Up 20+ though Indy was hurt)
Their losses have been majorly fluky.
SAS without George
Dallas without Kawhi
GSW after already beating them and being up by 20+ in both contest
and Utah

Fr we are looking AMAZING
I know pre season isn't a good indicator for anything but after losing all the games I thought there's going to be an improvement but it's gonna take a longer while for it to click
But first 20 games aren't even over and this group is looking like a TEAM
Everyone keeps highfiving each other and all you hear are new guys talking about how good the atmosphere is
You can see Ty Lue is a heck of a coach and he makes great adjustments. Reggie sucks? He doesn't play the next game. Pat is out? Maybe we will give Reggie a chance as our starting 5 for one game?
We had a rough week where we went WLWL and Kawhi stepped up and said "We need to improve" and since then we're the TOP5 team in NBA on both ends and are on a 4W streak
Last year despite the fact we got Kawhi and PG was super weird like... it wasn't fun to watch that team
This year tho? Wow... I loved every game
Also know no one is talking about this in NBA media bc they'd rather s*** on us than be reasonable
but Ibaka is a MAJOR improvement over Trezz
Kennard is a MAJOR improvement over Shamet
and to my surprise
Batum is an improvement over JGreen and that's not an easy thing to do
This team quietly had a perfect offseason
And their defense which has been bottom 10 this year has been largely due to the bench, which Ty Lue is tinkering with along with the fact that Marcus Morris has only recently just joined the bench.
The starters would have the best defensive rating in the league by a mile
They already have the best offense in the NBA by a mile if you throw out the Dallas game.
So yeah, they've been pretty damn good for the most part this season. 3rd in point differential despite a 51 point loss speaks volumes to how good they've been.
Another Win
Sidenote: Is anyone else disappointed in Ibaka a bit. It's still early(new team/bigger role) but he's been really underwhelming as the starting center. Dude's a liability under the rim. Zubac handles that better even if he isn't consistently putting buckets in.

clippers hate is corny, clips got a formidable squad on em and they donβt show no sign of slowing down
only up from here

Naah I wouldn't say he's a liability...
He has a great touch and sometimes it amazes me how he just puts the ball in the basket like it's nothing
He was a bit slow this game but he wasn't playing in the last one so maybe he was a bit rusty on offense
Overall his ability to shoot a midrange jumper and sometimes step out and shoot a three is something we've desperately needed from our bigs since like... forever (last one that could shoot a three was Marreese Speights ffs and he wasn't as good at that as Ibaka is)
And with Ty Lue's big focus on shooting threes I think it's a great tradeoff to have a bit less power on the offensive rebound but have a great shot blocker and a great three point threat
Overall this season:
Ibaka is next level over Trezz
Kennard is next level over Sham
and Batum is next level over Green (a bit of a surprise but I think we all agree on that one)
We're better in every way and I still believe with time Ibaka will get into the rhythm and we will see his whole arsenal

LMAO I think Ibaka took your post personally haha
