nah she said she is "not NOT a feminist" stuff.

A lot of people are about to misread that part tho.

    No I get it but she's saying she isn't a traditional feminist - that's why she simply doesn't say I'm a feminist she's making a point

The use of double negative speaks volume. She's not saying she's a feminist at all

She's saying she doesn't subscribe to feminist ideals

So yeah she's going to comment on values

Only people defending her misread that.
I dont get it, you can love her but still admit her post is BS. But her fans just jump into defense mode.

She doesn't mean white she means traditional and submissive

So she thinks women can’t be traditional anymore in music and she thinks she gets hate for that?

But to her, men lose their minds when she says she doesn't want to be that

She simply wants to be a stay at home mother in a nuclear family and devote her life to her man

That is now becoming a radical POV

    Do you think she's wrong?

I think her saying she'd like to be submissive to a man is as outrageous as Beyoncé having spoken word from Chimamanda Adichie in her album

2 different forms of female empowerment

oh nah I'm not dissing it at all, you misunderstand my point. It's that we've reached a time where women have turned the tables and we fully embrace it. niggas def chant the chorus to Act Up by City Girls in the club my g.

  • May 21, 2020

Fair interpretation. I think she's more so saying her style of feminism isn't considered feminism to some

But in turning the tables we've pulled the rug from Lana's feet and now consider her taboo and claim she is "reversing" equality

    Is that fair?

and I would reply simply, shorty needs to go outside and get out her c***bubble.

you know how much feminist twitter got into a fit when Cardi B defended Offset? Or when Beyonce got back with Hov?

I think the stay-at-home "aspiration" is still a lot more common than we think, just because shorties tweet or write think pieces about the other side more that dont mean they telling the truth about themselves imo.

I think so. Like I don’t think she realizes it’s not always about what you say but now you say it. Her lyrics at times definitely go beyond submission

Take a song like cater to you for example. It’s all about submission and people love it

considering most of those girls that claim this sex/fuck that nigga lifestyle are 'conservative-living' in real life, I think Lana's just doing c***standard s*** and playing victim because she aint been relevant for the last few years my g.

    Yes and no.

She's talking about critics remember - not the general public. So in her mind, she has been ostracized for the better half of a decade

Offset X Cardi and Bey X Hov were not covered by music crticism and if so were very short lived in comparison

Culturally definitely not, musically though Lana is arguing otherwise
