Not impossible, but idk something about this back to basics approach they re going with tells me it's at very least gonna be way better than revolutions
like people dont get this. They truly think its gonna be worse than reviolutions
Is there no room in your mind for you to think this movie is bad
for the millionth time I dont call things good or bad
example the cringe style of malginant didnt work for me and I will never watch it again but would I call it "bad"
no
exchanging hype even when skeptical is a better feeling then saying somehting will be s*** over and over again
I think expressing negativity to things we don't like is a good feeling also
for the millionth time I dont call things good or bad

Ok Jesus
I think expressing negativity to things we don't like is a good feeling also
and I am not against that central point but when you want others to say "its look bad or trash" like you thats the problem. I have spent 0 seconds today trying to convince yall this looks good or this will be great. It will be a movie, it will be releasing december 22nd and it will be what it is, embargo lifts december 16th we will get more impressions then

As all this is happening, we’re supposed to remember that Agent Smith is continuing to replicate himself in the Matrix, and by the time Neo arrives at the machine city, it seems as if he has taken over everybody. (We don’t see this happen though. In fact, we haven’t seen the real Smith in some time which is a whole other way the climax is muddled). We’re led to believe that’s why the machines agree to let Neo try and defeat him. However, it’s never quite clear why everyone being Smiths in the Matrix is bad, or what happens to all the people that Smith has infected. The whole point of the Matrix is it’s a place to keep human minds occupied so that the machines can use their energy, right? Does it really matter if the minds are all the same or not as long as the bodies are pumping out watts? Maybe Smith infecting them kills them and therefore they are no longer energy sources? There’s some talk of Smith being able to destroy everything, which would be bad, but whatever his relationship is with the machines and the Matrix is never quite clear. As a result, Neo’s offer to defeat him seems more of a payoff for the audience than the narrative. After three movies, it’s something we want to see, but exactly why it helps Zion never makes perfect sense.

LW: We were interested in resisting also the sort of financial structure that's around sequel-ization, which is essentially, you turn your story into a product that you just keep repeating. The whole concept of The Matrix was that we wanted to make the audience aware of what movies do to you, do to your consciousness, and to be somewhat compelled to follow Neo in the same way that he has to go through this struggle over his own relationship to his world. We wanted audience members to feel that struggle too. It wasn't ever meant to feel like a repeating "sequel-ized" thing. By splitting it apart, I think it raised that expectation.
the matrix relvolutions hate I get some but reloaded hate overblown to me and to say Matrix should have never had sequels is wild

Reloaded hate is bogus and I'm convinced most of it comes from how revolutions fumbled the setup reloaded Gave it
Releasing revolutions so soon after reloaded was another bad move. The wachowskis wanted to do it 2 months after, the studio wanted at least a year in between, they settled on 6 months and revolutions made way less money
They really come into a thread with this many pages and matrix awakens dropped , social embargo 16th and possibly reviews . Premieres 16,18,20th . Like we got clips to discuss but I am not going to break down how each clip isn’t an action set piece or fights not perfect cause everyone is older . I think a lot of people are just visually seeing John wick so their brain is demanding action . Even if everything went 100% as planned and everyone back you don’t really top a dramatic conclusion fight vs smith years later with people doing their own stunts . S*** that’s part of why this hadouken was added allows actors to not have to go as hard. There are many constraints but it’s about execution . If they hate it cool but why keep coming into thread to hate and say “ it’s not topping this exact scene I saw 20 years ago “
Whatever their concerns may be, i feel they all lack consistency in viewing the series through the creator's eyes.
Like, we all make Matrix to be about something it's not, but atleast be upfront about your own version of it and don't blame the series for not adhering to your preferred ideal or standard.

Your opinions are wrong
Revolutions was ace

Exactly I have spent the whole thread saying animatrix 2. A neo that is blind with no eyes that can only see code is something I could have seen happening. There are so many stories in the universe that could be told. Regardless budget wise if the audience wanted kenau, carrie ann , lawrence and weaving all back thats like your whole budget
They all have become major actors since then
Back to content
Machine on Machine violence after the events of the trilogy
(1:24)
Damn that clip got ppl in their feelings, now I have to see it :elon:
Morpheus dojo clip worth having concerns not the clip they talking about

i wouldn't even look at it from that angle too much cus tbh if Lana would want to do something she would do it... no matter the cost... like i really believe she's in it for the craft and the love of film/art and storytelling
In the end, whatever we see on screen, is the way the creator intended it to be, and if it lacks a certain actor or certain action then the only logical take-away would be that it wasn't that important in the first place

I mean it risked feeling rushed just as resurrections risk feeling rushed because filmed during pandemic and originally was delayed til summer 2022 then could have done reshoots.
Cause in these months especially with less restrictions and maybe more budget wise could have filmed entire vision which included scenes in chicago, hugo weaving and more.
But if 5 gets confirmed or new trilogy then maybe we see full vision or reason they came back maybe we never do
@mjpplus @SUPERMAN @Backlava
Wtf

No way this is real lmao this is a skit

Nah bro, Lawrence is a straight to redbox actor right now co-starring in cheap nic cage movies lmfao
Lawrence was a way bigger name in much more demand back in the matrix 1 days then he is now

I think many in thread would just prefer any capable director and writer did Matrix 4 and just kept it on theme of previous many would like that. Me personally its not a fanboy thing but I like the creators getting to return to their universe so even if they could get some amazing director to continue the universe and write it. Feels good that lana is back
