ElricYeah well we now live in the era where a vocal minority of fans will always demand a directors cut if they don't like the finished product (especially for established franchises) but studios will still only let less than 1% of the filmmakers actually do it I reckon

I mean storywise they do have a lot of creativity left in the tank i’m convinced. As this movie is evidence of that… that even when they don’t like touching the og trilogy Lana did succeed in connecting the dots and telling a new story.

Man, what the Matrix is lacking is spirituality. That's what makes even their inspirations of Martial Art films great is their in depth conversations on spirituality. The moment a film of this calibur dismisses that for a more technocracy/divine toxic feminist angle, we lose its magic.

Neo is a completed character Trinity however if we had 30 minutes where we see her with family and what she been on in years/ playing the game . The problem I have with the Niobe io parts is not that they don’t have value but that information could be revealed in a better way and faster . They really give io parts nearly too much time to breathe

Niobe got waay too much screentime for something that was shot so plainly and acted mediocre at best
